You Go Girl Card

Happy Tuesday crafty friends,
Hope it isn't too much of a struggle to go back to work today.  Today’s project was with my daughter in mind. She just started College and it has been interesting to say the least. So here is what I came up with.

you go girl card-490wad
My finished card size is 5 x 6.5. I started with a black cardstock base. I then used some red cardstock and then some champagne cardstock to cut out the brick overlay with my Pazzles Inspiration Vue. I then used my Cricut Expression and my Cricut Artbooking cartridge and cut out the white note paper. I then used the corresponding stamp and my black ink pad to stamp in the lines.

Here’s a closer look at the pennants. I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and cut out the pennants. I then stamped them with my Lagoon ink pad and my Cranberry Ink Pad.
I then used last month’s Stamp of the month set, Circus Alphabet and stamped the letters on the pennants with my black ink pad. I cut a piece of black cardstock and then matted that with some of the Chalk It Up paper pack paper and inked the edges of the patterned paper with my sponge and black ink pad. I layered that mat set onto the base of my card and then went to work adding the pennants. I used some foam tape under them to give them a little lift. I also added some bows using the  May Arts Burlap string to the edges of the pennants.

Here’s a closer look at the stamped sentiment. I used the Geek Is The New Chic stamp set and stamped it with my black ink pad. The cute little arrow came from the Chalk It Up Stickers Assortment.

Retiring Jubilee Layout 1 of 3 with Cute Cricut Ant Paper Piecings

Happy Monday crafty friends!
Hope you are beating the heat and enjoying your summer days! Today I am sharing a layout I created with the super fun Jubilee Paper Pack and coordinating Complements chipboard set from Close To My Heart. As this month winds down, this will be the last chance you have to purchase this fun set. The new Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations catalog is set to debut in August. So that means there are a lot of great products going away. You can see the retiring products HEREOkay here is my layout.

Here’s a look at my entire layout. It is a two page layout featuring papers from the Jubilee paper pack, Chipboard accents from the Complements set and some super cute little Ant paper piecings I created using my Art Philosophy cartridge and Artiste Cartridge along with my Expression. Along with the papers in the Jubilee set, I did use some white cardstock for the photo mats and some kraft cardstock to create the ants. I also used a piece of red for the little watermelon slices and a piece of bamboo cardstock for the “basket”.

Here’s a closer look at the cute little ant hanging off the picnic basket. Again, all of the cuts are from the Art Philosophy cartridge , Artiste Cartridge and my Cricut Expression.

Make any purchase from my Close To My Heart link and I will send you the instructions to create these adorable little ant piecings from your Art Philosophy cartridge and your Cricut Expression. No CCR, Design Studio or SVG files used. Just your Cricut Expression and your Art Philosophy cartridge and your Artiste Cartridge.

mat wrap-480
I used some cute red and white gingham ribbon and wrapped the two larger mats. I used one of the chipboard elements from the complements set. Photos will slide easily underneath.

plentyoflove-480
The plenty of love chipboard element was another perfect embellishment for this page. I used some foam tape to give it a little lift.

Here is a little chipboard journaling spot I added as well. Enough room to write down a few special details.

Here’s a closer look at the little banner. I stamped the Summer Time Fun using the Keyboard Alpha Stamp set onto the little chipboard banners from the Complements set.

My Pretty Pony Cricut Art Philosophy Paper Piecing Layout

Happy Hump Day friends,

Hope you’re all having a great day. For those following along with the Psalms reading as we count down to Shavuot (Pentecost). Here is our passage.
פ Pe
129 Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
131 I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.
132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.
133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.
134 Redeem me from human oppression,
that I may obey your precepts.
135 Make your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.
136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.
Psalms 119: 129-136

I pray blessings upon you and your household as you read and meditate on His awesome Word. I meant to post this project yesterday, but I got behind….

Here is my completed layout. I used some of the May Exclusive Free To Be Me Paper Collection and my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. All the die cuts on this layout were created with the Art Philosophy cartridge , Artiste cartridge and my Expression. No SVG, CCR, Gypsy, Explore or Design Studio Files Used. They are what I call my Cartridge Critters. Paper piecings put together with my Cricut. Paper piecing was my first love when I started scrapbooking. Back in the day of MAMBI and Mrs. Grossman stickers….yep…that’s a throwback for those who know what I am talking about….lol!

Here’s a closer look at the cute little oval scalloped title.

Here’s a closer look at the Pony title blocks.

Here’s a closer look at the cute little pony. This version is standing.
I cut the tail pieces in white cardstock and used my Copic Markers to color them and the mane pieces.

Here is the version of the pretty pony that is “sitting”. Again, I used my Copic Markers to color her tail and mane. I also used some of my different Inks to ink the edges of the pony’s pieces as well as her wings. I used some dry decorator chalks, white chalk marker and fine tip black pen for the rest of the facial features.

As this month comes to a close, don’t forget about this month’s special.
