Hope it isn't too much of a struggle to go back to work today. Today’s project was with my daughter in mind. She just started College and it has been interesting to say the least. So here is what I came up with.
My finished card size is 5 x 6.5. I started with a black cardstock base. I then used some red cardstock and then some champagne cardstock to cut out the brick overlay with my Pazzles Inspiration Vue. I then used my Cricut Expression and my Cricut Artbooking cartridge and cut out the white note paper. I then used the corresponding stamp and my black ink pad to stamp in the lines.
Here’s a closer look at the pennants. I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and cut out the pennants. I then stamped them with my Lagoon ink pad and my Cranberry Ink Pad.
I then used last month’s Stamp of the month set, Circus Alphabet and stamped the letters on the pennants with my black ink pad. I cut a piece of black cardstock and then matted that with some of the Chalk It Up paper pack paper and inked the edges of the patterned paper with my sponge and black ink pad. I layered that mat set onto the base of my card and then went to work adding the pennants. I used some foam tape under them to give them a little lift. I also added some bows using the May Arts Burlap string to the edges of the pennants.
Here’s a closer look at the stamped sentiment. I used the Geek Is The New Chic stamp set and stamped it with my black ink pad. The cute little arrow came from the Chalk It Up Stickers Assortment.
Here is one last look at the finished card.
