Pick O’ The Patch Card

Hello crafty friends, Today I wanted to share a fun card I created with my Copics, a digi and some great CTMH papers and stamps. So let’s get to it.

pick o the patch cardlt-490
Here is what I came up with. It is a fun little card using a PaperCraftingWorld.com digi and some fun Pretty Petals stamps and Copics.

I used some green cardstock for the bottom mat. Next is a piece of white cardstock for the white scalloped mat. The patterned paper is a piece from the CTMH Yuletide paper collection. I then put a top layer of the hexagon mat cut from some kraft cardstock.

Then it was on to my image. I used the cute little bear in pumpkin patch digi  from papercraftingworld.com. I colored it in with my various Copic markers. The Harvest happiness is a retired stamp from CTMH as is the Pick of the Patch sentiment.

I created SVG’s to match the CTMH pretty petals stamp set

Side note: For those that don't do SVG's the pretty petals stamp set also has some compatible cuts on the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

I cut several out and then used my Canary ink pad to stamp some of the layers and then my honey ink pad to stamp some of the layers. I also used my saddle ink pad to stamp in the centers of the flowers. I used some foam tape to give the flowers a little lift so that I could curl the petals slightly for some dimension.

This is what each flower looks like. I just created a smaller version of the same flower and still used the same stamp for the top petal layer.

Great Grandma’s Blessings Pazzles SVG & DCWV Layout

Hello crafty friends,
Happy Friday. Today I am sharing a layout I created fro my Pazzles DT.  here to share a fun and easy layout with you.
great grandmas blessings-490
Here’s a look at my finished layout. All of the patterned papers are from the DCWV Whimsical World stack. A great stack with some very bold colors that worked perfectly. I also used white, dark brown and navy blue cardstock. The journaling label is also from the same stack. I love that some of the newer stacks will include a couple of pages with labels, journaling blocks, titles and sentiments. It’s like getting a set of coordinating embellishments with your paper.
ggma-blessings-insoftware-400
I started by using my software to design the layout. For me, it is much easier to design the layout in the software. This way I have a really good idea of what sizes all of my cuts need to be. I just measure the pictures I want to use and then make sure I have the allotted space and then go from there. This is what it looks like when I have designed it and am ready to start cutting.  This complete file set is available on the Pazzles Craft Room FREE for members. CLICK HERE to go to my post. I used the harvest flower and flourish stick files from the Pazzles craft room. For the rest of the elements on the layout, I used my software to create them (the circle, the scalloped border strip, label and the zig zag border).

This is a closer look at the title I created. I try to create titles that are welded together. That way I can cut it out and adhere to my layout in one easy step.

flowers cl-490
As I mentioned above, I used the Harvest blooms file for the flowers . After cutting the flowers out of some blue cardstock,  I assembled them by staggering the layers and added gold sequins  and a dew drop to their centers. I used a little foam tape underneath to give them a little lift off the page so I could gently curl the petals to give them some dimension.

Here’s a view of one of the flourish sticks. This shot also shows the pretty paper from the stack. The little gold balls have glitter. Really adds a nice touch that the photo doesn’t really capture.

Finally in the upper left corner, I used a Close To My Heart stamp (Last month’s stamp of the month set) and my Cranberry Ink  to stamp the decorative heart. I added a couple of buttons with some twine bows.  Easy and I just loved the results!

Center Step Thanks So Much Card With My Pazzles, DCWV Botanicals Stack and CTMH

Hello Crafty Friends,
I recently shared this over on the Pazzles blog. A pretty and very easy card made with Pazzles Craft Room files, DCWV Botanicals Paper Stack and some CTMH inks, stamps and accessories. So let’s get right to it.

Thanks so much lt-490
Here’s a look at my completed card.  I started by using the Fun Fold Center Step card for the base. I cut it in some Red Bazzil cardstock. For the panels I used some Die Cuts With A View The Botanicals Stack.

sentiment3cl-lt-490
I then cut the middle frame from the Fancy Circle Frame file. I broke that file apart and then used the inside oval and made a couple layers. I inked the edges of the middle layer with some olive ink and then stamped my sentiment with olive ink pad.    The sentiment is from the You Mean The World To Me stamp set. I added a few  bitty sparkles  and used some  foam tape  to give the whole frame some dimension.

flowers cl-lt-490
For the flourishes, I used the flourish sticks file and just cut one piece of that file to make these flourishes.  I then used the Flower Bunch file for the little flowers. Lastly I added some ribbon and some gold gems to the centers of the flowers. Super quick and such nice results.

Here’s a closer look at the side step. Just added a flourish a flower and good to go!
