Happy Friday. Today I am sharing a layout I created fro my Pazzles DT. here to share a fun and easy layout with you.
Here’s a look at my finished layout. All of the patterned papers are from the DCWV Whimsical World stack. A great stack with some very bold colors that worked perfectly. I also used white, dark brown and navy blue cardstock. The journaling label is also from the same stack. I love that some of the newer stacks will include a couple of pages with labels, journaling blocks, titles and sentiments. It’s like getting a set of coordinating embellishments with your paper.
I started by using my software to design the layout. For me, it is much easier to design the layout in the software. This way I have a really good idea of what sizes all of my cuts need to be. I just measure the pictures I want to use and then make sure I have the allotted space and then go from there. This is what it looks like when I have designed it and am ready to start cutting. This complete file set is available on the Pazzles Craft Room FREE for members. CLICK HERE to go to my post. I used the harvest flower and flourish stick files from the Pazzles craft room. For the rest of the elements on the layout, I used my software to create them (the circle, the scalloped border strip, label and the zig zag border).
This is a closer look at the title I created. I try to create titles that are welded together. That way I can cut it out and adhere to my layout in one easy step.
As I mentioned above, I used the Harvest blooms file for the flowers . After cutting the flowers out of some blue cardstock, I assembled them by staggering the layers and added gold sequins and a dew drop to their centers. I used a little foam tape underneath to give them a little lift off the page so I could gently curl the petals to give them some dimension.
Here’s a view of one of the flourish sticks. This shot also shows the pretty paper from the stack. The little gold balls have glitter. Really adds a nice touch that the photo doesn’t really capture.
Finally in the upper left corner, I used a Close To My Heart stamp (Last month’s stamp of the month set) and my Cranberry Ink to stamp the decorative heart. I added a couple of buttons with some twine bows. Easy and I just loved the results!
