Cricut "Tinkerbell & Friends" Showcase

Good morning, crafting friends!

This is Jen and I've "hijacked" the MPC blog today! I'm here to sprinkle some fairy dust on your Monday and share some fantastic cuts from the Cricut Disney Tinkerbell & Friends cartridge. This cartridge features Tinkerbell and her fairy friends - Fawn, Rosetta, Iridessa, and Silvermist; as well as pretty botanicals, phrases and other items from the movie.

Now, anyone who is familiar with the Disney cartridges knows that they can be quite challenging -- all of those itty-bitty pieces and layers can make you cross-eyed! However, if you persevere, you end up with wonderful results!

The first items I created with this cartridge were for a 2nd birthday party for one of my nieces. Kylie loves Tink and her pals, so I created some "larger than life" fairy decorations -- each of the fairies measures at least 11" tall.

Silvermist
I used an iridescent glitter glue to give the ladies' wings some sparkle; and 3-D Crystal Lacquer for their eyes, lips and Silvermist's shoes. The eyes are always the trickiest part of piecing any Cricut Disney character. I always cut the white piece and omit the iris cut; and then I use markers for their eye color. Way easier! The fairies and banner (below) are now hanging in Kylie's room -- she loves them!

This cartridge has tons of beautiful flowers. I chose two to use in Kylie's banner. The banner pennants were cut using George & Basic Shapes and the letters are from the Storybook cartridge.

I created this tag using another flower from the cartridge and the leaf cut. The tag base was cut using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. Ink, gold distress Stickles, pen doodling, a rubber stamped sentiment and some jute complete this cute tag.

My final Tinkerbell & Friends project for today's showcase is a Valentine's Day card. This is one of two beautiful butterflies on the cartridge. And again, some Stickles and pen doodling added the final touches to this cute card for my 8 year old daughter. (The patterned paper came from Target's $1 bin!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll come on over to my blog and check out the Tinkerbell cake we made, too. (No Cricut involved there, this time.)

Have a fantastic day and don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what fabulous creations the Designers have come up with!

Digi Desserts Fridaze

Wow!  A new month is starting for
I promised you more GREAT NEWS about our Link-Ups and it starts with this week's post.
We would like to invite some of you to be our Guest Designers here at DDF.
Here's how it will work:
Each week the Design Team members will select one project from those that have been linked up and invite that designer to be our Guest Designer for a future post.
****To be selected as a guest designer, your Link-up project MUST USE a DIGITAL IMAGE from Paper Crafting World.****
Not only will you be invited to join us, you'll also receive a free image from PCW to use for your Guest Designer project.
We are so excited to add this new idea to our Digi Desserts Fridaze and hope you'll play along with us.  Melin will continue to provide a free digital image each week so, of course, you're welcome to use it for your Link-up project.
BUT WAIT!
We are still inviting all of you to link up your projects using any digi image.  We will continue to use Random.org to select one entry to also receive a free digital image from PCW.
Since this winner is selected randomly from all of the entries, we are asking that you limit your number of entries.  If you use a PCW image, you automatically get entered twice. If your first entry does not use a PCW image and you'd like to enter another project, we ask that you use a PCW image on the second entry.
The winner of last week's Link-Up party will be announced at the end of this post along with a link to this week's FREE digi.

Let's see what our fabulous digi designers have created for you this week.

to choose and receive the single digital image of your choice from PCW.
Woohoo and thanks so much for participating!

Now it's your turn to play along this week.
Just create something using a digital image and link to this post. If you use an image from PCW, you will receive 2 chances to win. If you use a PCW file, please add "PCW" after your name.

Remember, it's easy to participate in our Link Up because there's a tab on the home page that will bring you directly to this DDF page whenever you're ready to share your project.
Link Up your digital design for a chance to win a free single image from Paper Crafting World.

Here are a few guidelines:
*Must use a digital stamp image (receive 2 entries if you use a PCW image)
*Only one non-PCW entry per person - your second entry (if you choose to enter more than once)   must use an image from Paper Crafting World.
*Must be a NEW project for this Link Up; no backdated posts, please.
*Must have a link back to this post on your blog.
*Must link your project through Inlinkz and not just your blog.
We're always happy to share our Digi Desserts Fridaze and especially thrilled that you can join in our fun. We're looking forward to seeing your digi goodness!
