You Da Man Card

Hello crafty friends,

Hope your Tuesday is shaping up to be a terrific one! Today I am sharing a card I created for Father’s Day. I used some of the paper from last month’s Close To My Heart Promotion along with some cuts from the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge and matching stamps.

Here’s a look at my card. The Red arrow, this week and blue label arrow stamps are all from the My Life Artbooking Bundle stamp set. The You Da Man letters are from the Hopscotch Alphabet stamp set. I stamped the letters with my Olive Stamp Pad. The red arrow was stamped with my Cranberry Ink Pad. The Blue Arrow label was stamped with my Crystal Blue Stamp pad and the the this week was stamped with my olive ink pad as well.

This shows how I used some foam tape to give some of the elements a little lift. The frame is one of the chipboard elements in the Artbooking bundle. Love these elements, they have matching cuts on the cartridge which makes covering them with patterned paper a snap.

Here is a closer look at the “metal” embellishments I used. I must admit, when I saw these in the catalog, I wasn’t impressed, but when I got some to use, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I really liked them. I finished off the card by using a sharpie marker to do some faux stitching around the white mat.

New Page Kits

Happy Monday crafty friends,

I am back in the saddle. It has been a crazy last month with so many things going on. But now that most of that is behind me, I am back to crafting and sharing! I hope those of you that read along with me for the counting of the Omer were able to enjoy a wonderful Shavuot – Pentecost. What an amazing time we live in. To see all that is happening and know that God has called us to stand for Him during this time….May you be truly blessed!

So today I wanted to share three layouts I created recently for page-kits.com.

Shot of the completed layout. All the die cuts were created and cut with my Pazzles Inspiration and software. This layout was created with cute papers from Imaginisce, Recollections and the Paper Studio as well as some premium Bazzill cardstock.

Closer look at the title.  The branch border is a Martha Stewart Punch. Kit includes all elements pre-cut. All you need to do is chalk, ink and assemble the die cuts….the fun stuff!

Love Your Smile Layout.

Cricut Artbooking Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday crafty friends,

Hope your day is a wonderful one so far. For those following along with the reading of Psalms, counting of the Omer, here is today’s passage.

ALEPH 

Psalms 119:1-8

1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD!

2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!

3 They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.

4 You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently.

5 Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes!

6 Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments.

7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.

8 I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly!

I hope you are blessed as you read and meditate on His Word. So for today’s project, I came up with a really quick and easy card for a birthday.

This fun card came together very quickly and easily. I used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge to cut out the pretty heart die cut. I then used the Happy Birthday stamp from Close To My Heart and stamped it with my Sky Ink Pad. I cut the circle using my Cricut as well. I used an EK Success border punch to punch out the pretty heart border. I used some Prima flowers I had in my stash. The background paper was from the DCWV Floral Fair paper stack. The ribbon was some old ribbon I had in my stash. The pearls were from the Paper Studio Gemstones.
