Cartridge Showcase: TWINKLE TOES

Welcome to CookingWithCricut.com and today's Cartridge Showcase! Chef Olivia of ORM Crafty Nights is taking over the reigns and sharing projects she has created using the Cricut Lite Twinkle Toes cartridge.  This cartridge will dance right onto your favorites list for all things girly!  It is filled with adorable images and great labels along with so much more.

So without further ado . . . here's Olivia!

Hello everyone! It is Olivia here from ormcraftynights. I am here to give you a sampling of some great ways to use the Cricut Lite Cartridge Twinkle Toes.

Being the mom of three girls, I was super excited to use this cart but as you will see you are able to use it more then just for the girls.
The first example is a home decor project I did for my youngest daughter, age 3, who just had her first dance recital two weeks ago. Be warned you may need your sunglasses for these colors. First I painted it the colors to match her dress. I then added the layout. The Twinkle toes girl was cut a 3 1/2 inches and I also cut the oval with the saying Dance Recital from the Cart too. I love to use part of their costumes so the tulle frame, flower and ribbon are pieces of her costume. I will be hanging this in her room.
Next are two scrapbook layouts I did for her recital too. The titles, shoes, crown and flower swirls are all cuts from this cart as well.
Now I have a non-girly idea. One of the things I love about this cart is that each piece is layered on each other including the words so you can just leave that out. I cut this star image in more masculine colors and used pop-ups to give it more dimension. I made this card for my oldest daughter favorite teacher. I stamped a sentiment in the middle this time.
Hope I give you some ideas of how fun and cute this cart can be! Happy Craftin'.

Wow what adorable projects! What a terrific way to showcase those QT Patooties of yours Olivia. Please be sure to head over to Olivia's blog and give her some great bloggy love for her wonderful inspiration!  Also be sure to stop by tomorrow for our new Stamp and or Die Cut Challenge!

As always, thank you so much for making us a part of your crafty time!

6 Minutes....

Good morning crafty friends,

This is not a crafty post but I am humbly asking you to take approximately 6 minutes of your day to listen to and watch this video. I felt so strongly that I needed to share this.....

I have recently read, heard and received many, many prayer requests. A tremendous amount of them. Everything from health issues, financial provision, broken hearts, hopelessness, relationship-family trouble, you name it.  I prayed this morning for them and this song just kept floating through my mind. My how many of us need our Deliverer. An innumerable amount of people are truly concerned, sick, near death, hurting and broken. The requests range from seemingly small things to the absolutely tragic and heart breaking.

So I ask....Do you need your deliverer? Do you need the peace to know that He will see you through your situation? Do you need to believe that He will raise you from your dark place and truly give you hope and wipe your tears? Then I ask you to listen to the words of this video and see the images. Our God is indeed an awesome God. He is and shall deliver you through....not because of who you, I or anyone else is, or does, but because of who He is...His great love for each of us. He IS, Our Good Shepherd, Our faithful and true....The lover of our soul. Do you KNOW someone who is going through a tough time. I am sure if you take just a moment to think of the people you know, I have no doubt that you know someone who is struggling with something. Then please take a moment and watch with them in mind and say a prayer for them.

May the Lord bless you for taking just a moment...and giving Him a little bit of time. Thank you for taking this opportunity to let Him minister to you through this....

Much love to you all, Melin

Cartridge Showcase: Sweet Tooth Boxes

Welcome to another Cartridge Showcase! Today we have our fellow design team member, Jill! She has really cooked up some sweet 3D creations! You are going to want this cartridge after you see them!

Hello, everyone! I'm Jill from Jaihart. I'm here to showcase the Cricut Cartridge Sweet Tooth Boxes.

This cartridge is so fun because you can make favor boxes or just a little gift for someone special!

Here is a cake box I made for my friend's birthday!

Here is a ladybug treat container I made for my son's preschool teachers.
Their classroom is called the ladybug room, so I used the small ice cream dish and
just added the ladybug head from Walk in My Garden and circles from Plantin Schoolbook.

Lastly, I have a treat house I made for my husband's secretary!
This week at my husband's work they are honoring their secretaries!

This cartridge is so fun!
I always have a blast with it!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my
Sweet Tooth Boxes showcase!

Smiles,
Jill

Wow, is all I can say! Don't you think Jill blew this out of the water? I think it was a home run! Think of all the smiles that she brought to people's faces when she presented them with these to die for containers! Fo leave her some bloggy love at HER BLOG!
