Hello crafty friends,
Melinda here, and today I am sharing a card featuring the Jesus Is My Anchor stamp set from Dare2BArtzy.
The finished card size is A2. I started with a white cardstock base. I then ran a white cardstock mat through a wood textured embossing folder. I added a couple of strips of the Seas the Day Paper collection for the striped paper strips. I added a bow with some thin jute to add some additional texture.
I also added a strip of burlap ribbon for some texture and interest. I trimmed the wire edges off and then frayed the edges.
The main focal point of the card is the beautiful scene I created with the sentiment and the waves and bird stamps. They (the waves and bird) are from the Anchors Away stamp set. I stamped the birds in Totally Black ink and the waves I stamped in Midnight Blue Ink. I then used my colored pencils to add a little "sky" and "water" to the background. I then stamped the sentiment that comes from the Jesus Is My Anchor stamp set in Totally Black ink. I finished it off by adding a few sequins.
