Terrific TuesDIE Turtle Die Flower Card

Happy TuesDIE crafty friends!
Welcome to another Terrific TuesDIE post! For the new readers, Terrific TuesDIE is my weekly post featuring a project created with Dies. Manual Dies. No use of any electronic die cutting machines.
Here is my project for this week.

I created a square card 5.5 x 5.5. The base is a Kraft cardstock.  The patterned paper is from the Kaisercraft Island Escape paper pad. I did use my teal ink to ink the edges of the patterned paper mat which I cut a quarter inch smaller.

I then used my cross stitch circle die to create a circle base for my flower. The flower is comprised of the Turtle die from Cheapo Dies. I cut it out 7 times in white cardstock and then cut each one down to get the shape of the petals. I basically cut off the arms and legs of the turtle. I left his head on so that I would have something to glue to the center. 5 of them are inked for the flower and 2 of them I inked green for the leaves. I adhered the petals to a little circle for the center.

Here’s a closer look at the flower. I used some Robin's Nest Dew Drops to decorate the center of the flower. I then used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to add a little shimmer to the petals. I also shaped the petals to give them a more realistic look.

I used an RG Studio 360 digital stamp sentiment and printed it out on clear transparency.

I added a cute little bow to the stem. The stem is just a piece of green cardstock that I cut a strip from and then angle cut the bottom.

Here is one last look at the finished card. I really like the way it turned out.
