Fancy Clover Die Flower Card

Happy Wednesday crafty friends!
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Today I am sharing another card I created with the Lucky Clover die from Cheapo Dies. This one is very different!

Yep, that’s right! I made this pretty flower and the decorative background from this die! It was actually really easy!

Here’s a closer look at the flower. I simply cut apart the clover petals and adhered them to a small circle for a base. I then staggered the layers. I started with white cardstock and then inked the edges . Once I layered the “petals” I curved and shaped them to give them a little dimension and movement.

Here’s another close up that includes the leaves. The leaves are also cut apart pieces of the clover. I started with white cardstock for those as well. I then inked them with my green ink and gently curved them as well. I did adhere them to a scratch piece of cardstock and then adhered that to the circle base so they would extend out just a bit more.

Next I cut out the “stem” part of the die cut in plain white cardstock. I then cut apart the pieces as shown in the picture above.  I then just laid out the pieces to create the design on the blue mat and then adhered them down.

Here’s a closer look at the bottom part of the design. I simply mirrored the top and bottom design on the blue mat.

I placed the flower on top of a couple of the scalloped stitched oval nesting dies. Here you can also see the design of the cut apart pieces a little closer. I added a couple of pearls to finish of the top and bottom.

Here is one last look at my finished card. One of my favorite things to do these days is figure out more than one use, or the obvious use of my dies. I hope this will inspire you to take another look at your dies and consider adding this one to your collection! You can pick it up over on the Cheapo Dies website.

I did create a video of this and will share it this weekend in case you need a little bit better idea of how to create the flower. I will update this post once the video is on my YouTube channel. So be sure to head over there and subscribe to my channel!

Here is a Sneak Peek for tomorrow’s project share. I will be sharing over on the Robin’s Nest Blog! You won’t want to miss this colorfully sweet project!
