Hello crafty friends,
So glad you came by. Today I am sharing another card created with some Close To My Heart products. Here’s what I came up with.
Once again I used the Just For You stamp set and created the flower in the center. I created some cut files to correspond with the stamp set.
Here is the cut files I created for this stamp set. The colored lines show you the cuts for this set.
If you use the Cricut, this stamp set has some cuts that are compatible with the Art Philosophy cartridge. The colored outlines in this picture show you the cuts compatible with the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I started by cutting out several of the “petals” from my cut file in my Pazzles software. I then stamped them with my Blush ink pad.
I assembled the flower in two layers. Here is the first layer. I stamped one of the circles I cut out in Gypsy Ink using one of the stamps in the stamp set. I then glued the petals around the circle as shown in the picture above.
I then used a bit larger circle and glued another layer of petals to that. I made sure they were offset from the first layer of petals. I wanted the second layer of petals to extend a bit further out than the top (first) layer.
I curled the petals and then added my leaves. I added some foam tape and then attached it to the square mat. I used the floral background stamp from the In The Background stamp set. I stamped that layer with my honey ink pad.
The second layer, I used some pink cardstock and stamped again with the same stamp and my hollyhock ink pad. For the base layer I stamped again with the same stamp and used my buttercup ink pad. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment in Gypsy Ink Pad onto some pink cardstock.
Side note: As I was playing around with making the flower, I came up with a couple of alternatives.
Here’s what I used for this project
