Good morning crafty friends,
I am sharing the details on the card I created for yesterday’s Digi Desserts Fridaze post.
Here is a view of the completed card. There isn’t a whole lot to this card, but it looks like so much more because of the many layers.
I also used this weeks DDF FREE WORD ART DIGI. So be sure to head over to that post and pick it up while you can.
Here is a close up of the cogs-gears. I cut them from plain black cardstock. I used the silver Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink to add some shading. I used a couple of VERY OLD brads I had in my stash. I used a little foam tape on two of the gears for just a little lift.
This is a side shot trying to show the slight lift.
Closer look at the two smaller pewter brads,
Here is a list of the products I used to create this project

I Love this card you did an amazing job of it. Cogs and gears and the best thing for male cards. Even better for me as I have 3 sons, & 3 grandsons, Not to mention 5 Nephews, and 4 brother in laws and 2 brothers.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. I really like those gear cuts!
ReplyDeleteLike I said on Facebook, I totally love this card! You rock girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, cards for men are always hard. Did you get the brads that looked like screws or did you make the indentations?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great father's day card! The sentiment and the cogs with metal brads are really decorative, and your choice of brown enhances the masculine feel of this card!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card :-) the gears, layers and whole design is gorgeous :-)
