Cartridge Showcase: Give A Hoot

Hello everyone and welcome to our cartridge showcase this week.  Today is Earth Day...so it is only fitting that we showcase the wonderful GIVE A HOOT cartridge. Hang on to your creative hats, we have FOUR designers sharing with you today!

Our first designer, Sheena, from Dew Drops & Glue Dots joins us today for her first cartridge showcase.  And wow, are you going to love what she is bringing!!  So, take it away Sheena!!

Flower: Page 56
Info:I made this card for my Mother for Mother's day in 2012. I liked how that flower looked really big, it is an Accent on the Give A Hoot cartridge.

Flower: page 60.
I made this for my parents for their Anniversary a couple years ago. I like using the Accent feature on Give A Hoot a lot. When made big, they look really cute.

I like trying to make shaped cards using just one cartridge and the Give A Hoot cartridge gives so many options to do that. Give A Hoot is one of my favorite cartridges to use. Always great cuts for all kinds of occasions.

Hasn't Sheena brought us some great projects?!!  You will want to visit her blog, Dew Drops & Glue Dots to see more of her talent and leave her some lovely comments.

And our next designer is Sandy, from A Little Piece of Heaven.

Sandy also used the adorable Piles of Smiles Crow Digi to complete her card.  You can visit Sandy at her blog, A Little Piece of Heaven to see more of her wonderful creations.  Please remember to leave her some love while you are there.

I have a few projects from Give a Hoot to share with you too.
I am Charlotte, from A Little Bit Of Detail
Bunny: Page 72
This first one is a sweet Easter card.  And I mean sweet because it is all about chocolate.  The eggs, flowers, and grass are all from the Easter 2010 cartridge.  And the adorable bunny is cut from Give A Hoot.  The label, Capture, is from a set that I found in the $1.00 bin at JoAnns.  I added some green glitter glue to the grass and leaves and a sweet pink ribbon to the card to complete the project.

 Friends: Page 42
This next card I have is all about fantasy.  Isn't this little boat of critters from Give A Hoot just  full of all kinds of fun!  I added some little orange gems to the boat for and a sweet little heart sticker that says love.  The sentiment is from a K Andrew design stamp set.  And I just had to add the pretty sheer ribbon and bow to the card to complete the whimsy.

This next card has one of my very favorite owl cuts on it.  The card began with a sketch from  Mojo Monday.  I love the sketch and have used it often.  The owl and the leaves are from Give A Hoot.  And the sentiment, is from a stamp set I got from Oriental Trading.

And now here is another card using the same owl cut.

This card begins with a doily cut with a die from Cherry Lynn Designs.  The flourish of leaves is also from Cherry Lynn Designs.  this card has that same little adorable owl on it.  The owl is embossed with a leaves folder.  I added the little glittered flowers to give the branch a little pop!  The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs.  And the card is embellished with some little blue pearls and a pretty orange crinkle ribbon bow.

And now, here is one more card I wish to share with you.  I originally made this card for a previous cartridge showcase when I showcased the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  The acorn shaped card is from Autumn Celebrations.  I added pretty ecru lace and a sheer ribbon to the front of the card.

Squirrel: Page 71
This adorable little squirrel is a cut from Give A Hoot!  I just love it because of the beautiful cut design on its tail.  I inked around the squirrel with bronze.

And I just had to share the sentiment with you.  I just don't think I could have found a better sentiment for this little squirrel and acorn card than this.  It is from a Joy's Life stamp set.

Lastly, here's a card by Melin
Earth Heart: Page 39
The heart started out as two plain white cardstock cuts. I used my Cat's Eye Chalk Inks to give the "earth-land" some varying shades of yellow, green and brown and the water varying shades of blue. The Designer Patterned Paper is from the Die Cuts With A View- Fresh Floral Stack. The scripture sentiment, is from psalm 24 and I made it in my word program.

I invite you to visit me (Charlotte) at my blog, A Little Bit Of Detail.  It has been such a pleasure sharing this fun cartridge with you this week.  Please come back next Monday for another fabulous showcase.  Thank you Sheena and Sandy for sharing your talent with us.
