Here is today's project :-) I created these Wild Rose flowers and the "lace" borders with this week's "draw n cut" function in mind.
Here is a view of the complete project.
I did also create the birdcage file and the vine file as well.
Here is what the wild rose flowers looked like "hot off the press". I used the Cri-Kits glitter pens to add all the details to the flowers. Then instead of "drawing" the outline of the flower, I just cut them out.
Here is what the flower looked like after I inked them with some Blush Rose and Charcoal Chalk Ink. With all the nice detail "drawn" already, inking them was quick and easy. These reminded me a lot of stamping and then cutting out your image to get all those details.
Remember to take a moment and comment on this and any other post from this week (through Sunday) to enter our drawing for a FREE set of pens and the custom holder from Cri-Kits.com.
Don't forget that they are also offering a 5% discount on any purchases made through the weekend! Just use the coupon code: GETCOOKING

Hi all, Thank you so much for all the kind words. It truly is appreciated. This response is to Mayipadlo's question. Yes, in order to use these particular files with your Cricut, you will need a different software. These will not work with just the Gypsy. You will need either Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) or Make The Cut (MTC). Please feel free to email me directly at: melin @ scrapbookeden.com (remove spaces). And I can explain in detail. Thank you again everyone for participating in this week's giveaway!
