Just Because Simple Card

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing this quick easy and pretty card. Made in one of my favorite color palettes; black, white and pink!

Here’s a look at my completed card. It is an A2 sized card (4.25 x 5.5”).  I started with a base of Black Licorice Cardstock. Next I cut a mat from the Project Me Papers for the black and white diagonal striped mat.

I then turned to my Just Because stamp set and my Watermelon Fusion Ink. I stamped out the flower several times and then cut them out with the corresponding die. I did snip into the petals towards the center just a bit to allow the petals a little more movement. I then used my Watermelon Fusion Ink and inked some of the edges of the petals. I then staggered and layered the flowers. I also gently shaped the petals to give them a natural curve. I then turned to my Lemon Grass Ink Pad and stamped a couple of the leaves. I adhered them to the base of the flower. For the center of the flower I added some craft glue and then put in some of the Pink Journey Sequins.

I added some more sequins to the top left of the card.  In this photo you can also see the layers of the oval SVG cuts I created. For one of them I used my Watermelon Fusion Ink to add some color. For the top layer, I ran it through my Amaze die cut machine and an embossing folder.

Here’s a closer look at the stamped sentiment. I used my Black Licorice Ink and stamped the sentiment onto the little SVG label I created. The larger mat of the label I again inked with some Watermelon Fusion Ink.  I then added a pretty bow with some silk ribbon.

Here is one last look at my completed card. I love how clean and simple it is. I think it turned out super pretty and like I said, I love that color combination.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your crafty time with me. I hope you are inspired to create something with some black, white and a pretty shade of pink! Just change the sentiment and you would have a great Valentine's Day card!
