Father’s Day Blessing Card-FREE DIGI

Good morning crafty friends,
I am sharing the details on the card I created for yesterday’s Digi Desserts Fridaze post.
fathers day-blessingcard2-500
Here is a view of the completed card. There isn’t a whole lot to this card, but it looks like so much more because of the many layers.
I also used this weeks DDF FREE WORD ART DIGI. So be sure to head over to that post and pick it up while you can.

front closeup-500
Here is a close up of the cogs-gears. I cut them from plain black cardstock. I used the silver Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink to add some shading. I used a couple of VERY OLD brads I had in my stash. I used a little foam tape on two of the gears for just a little lift.
side view-cu2-500
This is a side shot trying to show the slight lift.
circle brads-500
Closer look at the two smaller pewter brads,

Here is a list of the products I used to create this project

I am just getting into this digital scrapbooking. There are so many talented people like you who share their talents with the new ones. I'm hoping some of your talent rubs off on me. Maybe some day I can do wonderful cards like this for Father's Day.

Beautiful Father's Day card - could be used for any Masculine Card with just the change of sentiment - love the gears - I think of Steampunk too when I saw them

I Love this card you did an amazing job of it. Cogs and gears and the best thing for male cards. Even better for me as I have 3 sons, & 3 grandsons, Not to mention 5 Nephews, and 4 brother in laws and 2 brothers.

Great card, cards for men are always hard. Did you get the brads that looked like screws or did you make the indentations?

This is a great father's day card! The sentiment and the cogs with metal brads are really decorative, and your choice of brown enhances the masculine feel of this card!

I really liked this card! I think maybe because of all of the gears. I am kind of into those at the moment! And they gave a masculine feel to it as well.
