Baking Bear Cricut Layout

Good morning all,
Hope you're having a wonderful morning so far! I am sharing a layout I created in honor of my new Cutting Cafe' DT appointment. I was so super excited to hear that I was chosen to be on this team! Whew, these gals are TALENTED :-)So let me describe my FIRST project using their "SCHTUFFFF"
  1. I used their From My Kitchen Digi Stamp Set for the Cupcake sayings, the cupcakes and the little Kiss the cook emblem on the bear's apron. Check it out HERE
  2. I used the CC's apron shaped card cutting file for my bear. Check it out HERE
  3. I used my "E" and Accent Essentials for the blue medallion behind the circular digi stamp.
  4. Paisley Cartridge for all the flowers. Which I cut all of them in white and colored with my Copics. I didn't have just the right shade of red or blue cardstock to go with this layout.
  5. I used my Gypsy and Picturesque cartridge for the swirls and photo corners.
  6. Lastly, the bear and her dress are my own cutting file designs :-)

I created this layout for the Pink Elephant Scrap Challenge #13. Our assignment was to create a layout with some element for extra photos or journaling. That is where her little apron comes in. It is an apron shaped card cutting file that I sized to fit on the bear. It still flips up like a card. That is where my hidden journaling block and extra photo spot are :-)
Closeup of the bear. Even the little sentiment on her apron is a cutting cafe digi stamp. I embossed her apron at the bottom and detailed it with faux stitching. I added a cute little button in the middle of the sentiment.
Here is a view of the apron opened to reveal the hidden journaling and the extra photo spot.
Here is a view of the Digi Cupcakes from the Cutting Cafe. I cut them out and colored them with my copics. I used various colored stickles to add the sparkly "Frosting"
I hope you all enjoyed it and were inspired to start incorporating some digi elements on your layouts! They are truly a fun addition to your pages!

Please be sure to come back tomorrow for a FREE cutting file and some more great "Paperlicious" Inspiration :-) Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Jeremiah Cricut Card

Good afternoon all,
Here is my project for this week's challenge over at PIO (Pile It On)
Our assignment this week was to fold it, bake it, do something with it :-)

  1. So I Folded it! I cut 8 2" circles out of patterned paper using my Expression and George & Basic Shapes. I used a Tea bag fold to create the Dahlia in the center of the card.
  2. I created the digi sentiment in the center.
  3. I embossed the pink cardstock with a "striped" Fiskars embossing plate.
  4. I then cut the white flowers out of my Paisley cartridge and created these super cute and "X"tra dimensional flowers!
  5. Lastly, I used a QK die for the flourishes and an EK punch for the photo corners.
Side view to see the dimension.

So here are the challenges this applies to:
PIO - Fold it bake it do something with it (paper)

Penguin Cricut Two Page Layout

Good afternoon all,
Here is a layout I made for the a challenge. The challenge was to make something with a beach theme. So here it is.

I used Life's A Beach for most of the elements. BUT The Penguins.
The Penguins are from the From My Kitchen Cartridge

THEY ARE A STRAIGHT CRICUT CUTS :-) I used my E and only the cartridges.

Here is a closeup of one of the penguins. Sipping his drink, CHILLAXIN'

Here are the other two. One getting ready to surf and one splashin' around!

Here is a closeup of the sun. He came from Life's A Beach too :-)
I just gave him a different face.

Have a wonderfully "Crafty" day!

Isaiah 1 Digi-Cut File Card

Good afternoon all,
I wanted to share a card I made last night for the Stamping Sisters in Christ Challenge blog.

We had to create a card with no stamped images. So, I created the Digital Sentiment File.
I created it in the circle as well as the square.

As I thought about this card, the contrast in the black and white elements spoke to me about the contrast in our lives from before Christ and after. I even used "metallic" dew drops to symbolize how steadfast and immovable our sins and habits can seem until the light breaks through.

The flowers and flourishes are EK punches. I used my cutter to cut out the flourish bar I created. I did spritz the whole front of the card with Pearl Glimmer Mist. The photo doesn't really show this, but it really is pretty when the light hits it. Hope you enjoy!

Ballerina Bears Layout

Good day everyone,
I wanted to share a layout I made awhile back that just hasn't seen the light of day yet. I used everyday paper dolls to cut out the costumes for these little cuties.
Closeup of the left page. I made the title. All the little roses are also handmade.
View of right page. I machine stitched the mats for added detail.
I glittered their tiaras and the top layers of their tutu's.
I chalked their legs to give the appearance that they are wearing tights.

Discover The Joy Cricut Layout

Good morning everyone,
I am sharing a layout I did for a couple of challenges this week. It was my first real project including the use of the Gypsy! I am still VERY NEW to it, but so far, I am loving it :-).
I made the birds from Gyspy Wanderings and from Animal Kingdom.
Here is a view of the entire layout.
Here is a closeup of one of the birds and the Digi Sentiment I created. The download link for the digi sentiment will be below.
Here is a closeup of the other little birdie. I flipped the wings for this one. That was because I wanted to show that you can cut the wings out and flip in either direction and it will still look so cute!
Here is a closeup of the AI Factory Image I used. AI is this week's sponsor over at PIO. Please be sure to pay them a visit HERE. They have some WONDERFUL digi files and some FREEBIES to get you started.
So now for the challenges this layout followed:
PIO-Stickers The lettering "The Joy and little flourish are MM glitter stickers
SOUS-Stuck on Sketches. Layout Sketch.
Paper Take Weekly - Ice Cream Flavors. This page makes me think of my beloved Sherbet!
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Nice and Girly
Rosie Dees - Something Blue. My little blue birds :-)
Wee Memories - Get Sticky with Stickers - MM Red glitter letter stickers
Just Scraps - Butterflies, Birds and Flowers - I hope having two out of three qualifies :-)

Guessing Game Giveaway Winner

Good evening all,

So sorry for the delay in posting this. I didn't stop to consider that it was Father's Day on the 20th. Whew, what a weekend. I hope everyone was able to enjoy time with family and or remembering that special man in your life.

On to the winner, but first.....The BIG question.....Which cartridge did the Giraffe come from?

Drum roll pllleeeeaaassseeeee........And the cartridge is........Not from my craft room, not from my bedroom...(even though I have thoughts of layouts when I am sleeping....lol), but......

FROM MY KITCHEN :-) That's right Cricettes, it was all from the wonderful cartridge, FROM MY KITCHEN! Anyone who knows me, knows about the only good thing to come out of my kitchen is a paper Giraffe...HA HA HA :-) I am SO NOT a cook.

So of the many comments, 13 of you lovely crickettes guessed correctly, so I had to run over to random.org to pick a winner. So of the 13 correct guesses.....lucky number 4 hit the Giraffe jackpot!!!

I would guess "From My Kitchen". But whatever it came from...he is GORGEOUS! Just right for my not-yet-born grandson's scrapbook.

Happy Birthday Puppies Cricut Layout

Good day crafters!
Here is a layout I made for a challenge. The challenge was to use the colors: Brown, Red and Blue and to use the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge. The only things that aren't from SYI cartridge are the lettering (those are from the Hello Kitty Font Cartridge) and the Happy Title Digi Stamp I created.

ALL die cuts came from Stretch Your Imagination!
INCLUDING THE PUPPY DOGS! That's RIGHT! We were told to Stretch Our Imaginations....
So in true Paper Piecing Fasion.....I DID!

Here is a view of the entire layout.

Here is a closeup of the puppy on the left. I used my Pebbles, Inc. Dry Decorator Chalks to chalk the edges of my die cuts. For a tutorial on how I create my die cut faces, CLICK HERE

Here is the cake. I chalked it, embossed it and added a little glitz with my Stickles.

Here is the puppy dog topper. Even his hat is from SYI. You can see that I used my White Gel Pen as well as my chalks to give all my die cuts dimension. Of course, I had to add some touches of glitter too.

Here is an angled view to show the dimension on the page.

Here is the puppy dog on the right.
I almost forgot to mention....The Dogs are STRAIGHT CRICUT CARTRIDGE ONLY!
NO Design Studio
NO SVG FILES or third party software
NO Gypsy
I think it's obvious where the colors brown, blue and red are (as well as every other color in the rainbow...lol).  Well I guess that's it for today! Hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend!
Thank you for sharing your crafty time with me!

Father's Day Layout and Card Set

Good day crafters,
Here is a layout I did for the Pink Elephant challenge. I also completed a coordinating card.

View of both projects
I used Fall Breeze Glimmer Mist to shimmer up the frame, Flowers and the flourishes. Please see bottom of post for Flower Tutorial link. I created the frame and the flourish for my digital cutter. I want to start sharing some of these files with everyone, but I am still really green in this area. I will update this post with a link to the free flourish file this afternoon hopefully!

View of the layout.
The flourishes on the border is the free cut file at the bottom of this post.
Closeup shot of the flourishes and flowers. FREE flourish file at bottom of post.
Here is a closeup of the card. This is the FREE frame cut file I will be giving to my newsletter subscribers. So be sure to sign up :-)
Different angle to show the raised frame. I will be giving this Digi Stamp Sentiment and the one on the layout to my newsletter subscribers as well.
The frame on the right is the one misted. The other is just the plain cardstock. I am trying to show how very pretty the glimmer mist makes it. It is just hard to photograph.
Here is a close up of the flowers I made. You can make these using a flower on the Forever Young Cartridge. Or you can use punches or a cut file. Whichever you have. I did color the brad with my Copic marker. It was originally a gold brad. Yeah Copics!
I have a quick tutorial on making these flowers on my website.
