Day 2 3L & PHP Blog Hop Project Free Cut File

Hello crafty friends,
Welcome to my day 2 post for the week long Blog Co-Hop with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Paper House Productions.  I wanted to share projects all week even though I am only sharing two “official” projects for the hop.
Here is my project for today!
3L Scrapbook Adhesive Number Card Glue Dots Blog Hop Project
I created this birthday card for my father’s recent 70th birthday!  I know it looks patriotic, but I wanted to show that you can use “themed” products for more than just the obvious.  Plus….we are a very patriotic family!

3L Scrapbook Adhesive Number Card Glue Dots Blog Hop Project
To make this card I used several products from the 3L adhesives brand….let me just say this….NOT ALL ADHESIVES ARE CREATED THE SAME. I have to admit, that with all my crafting, I had moved away from using some of these adhesives and were using the “off brand” stuff. It was so refreshing to work with these adhesives and get reinspired. Adhesives really are the UNSUNG HEROES of our projects….those of you that craft no what I mean.

I started out be desiging the numbers with my Pazzles. I made the holes just a little bit bigger so that the glue dots would easily fit inside the holes. I cut out the “template” along with a solid version in the patterned paper.

Here you an see where I added all of the micro glue dots. It wasn’t time consuming at all. Once I got my finger nails out of the way…lol.

After I put all the glue dots in place I removed the template and then sprinkled some glitter onto the dots. I simply burnished the glitter into the dots with my finger. I used a little paint brush to dust off the glitter and that was it.

Here’s a closer look at the glue dot glittered numbers. You can see that the glue dots keep their shape really well and the glitter covers it.

I finished off the rest of the card by using some of the stickers that came in the paper crafting set to spell out happy.

Then last but by no means least, I used some of the 3D Foam stars to add some fun. I simply sprinkled them with glitter and then placed them on my card. I love that they allow me to use other mediums aside from paper AND give a little dimension all in one shot!

Here’s one last look at my completed card.

Here is the fun layout I created.

Beach Day Layout Supplies:
3D Foam SquaresE-Z Runner® Squares Refillable Dispenser, &  Paradise Found Florida Paper Crafting Kit

Other Supplies
Pink, Light Aqua and Yellow Cardstock

The Paradise Found collection includes a Florida kit, a Cruise kit, and a general Beach kit!  That means they have just what you need to create the perfect Paradise themed page.  I used the Florida kit for this sweet little girl layout. Combining the collection with the E-Z Runner made it quick to put things together.  And of course the added dimension comes courtesy of the 3D Foam Squares.

He Lives Easter-Passover Easel Card - DCWV and Pazzles

Hello crafty friends, A few days ago I shared a card I created for the Pazzles Craft Room. I was tasked with creating a project for Easter. I decided to create this pretty easel card.
I started by using my software to create the various elements including the card base. I cut the base out of some Kraft cardstock. I then turned to my DCWV Scripts and Music Notes Stack for the soft pink printed layers.

I then went to work on creating my lilies. I cut these out of some white cardstock and then used some yellow and green ink to dab just a bit of color in the centers of them. I then used a Copic Marker to color the stamen as I had cut them out of the same white cardstock. I also used a fine tip Sharpie for the little dots. I also used some green ink to sponge onto the leaves.

For the cross, I didn’t have any chipboard on hand, so I cut three crosses out of the same Kraft cardstock as the base of the card. I glued them together to make the cross sturdier. I then dry embossed it to give it that wood grain type look. I used one of my embossing folders for this. I used some brown ink to ink the edges and to make the embossing pop.

I then turned back to my Pazzles to create my sentiment. I welded the sentiment together and it created an “outline” I used a fine tip sharpie to draw the outline with my machine. I then cut it out. I used the same sharpie to color in the lettering and then covered it with my Spectrum Noir Glitter Markers for a little extra flair.

I also used the Glitter Marker for the lilies. I decided to make the card an easel card. I did this by scoring the top half of the card base across horizontally and then using another top base for the top of the card. I finished off the card with some pearl embellishments and a bow. I really enjoyed creating this card and my Pazzles once again, helped make my idea come to life!
