Music Is Life Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am participating in the Music is Life Blog Hop. Music undoubtedly plays a HUGE roll in our lives. For me, it has been a constant vehicle in which I use to praise and worship the Lord as well as find encouragement and strength.

Card With Friday Freebie

Happy Friday crafty friends,
I hope your week was a good one. Today I am sharing a cute and super easy card I created with this week’s Friday Freebie. This card fits perfectly with our monthly challenge. Be sure to head over to the challenge post and get the details so you can enter your creation!!! Some great prizes to win! Here is what I created.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
The base is cut from some Bazzill brick cardstock. It is a really old cardstock that has little flecks of black in it. The finished size of the card is 4.25 x 5.5.
 GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I cut out the flowers, stems and leaves as well as the fence. I layered the flowers and curled the petals.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used some pearl embellishments for the centers of my flowers and colored them with my Marigold marker.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then printed out one of the sentiments from this week’s Friday Freebie and backed it with a small scalloped oval. I added just a bit of foam tape to give it a little lift.

Here’s a side view to try and show the scalloped edge of the card base. I then cut the mat from white cardstock. I then turned to my cuttlebug and used my quatrefoil embossing folder to give it some texture.

Here’s one last look at the completed card. It came together very quickly and very easily.

My School Ride Layout

Hey crafty friends,
A few days ago I shared over on the Pazzles Craft Room . Here is what I shared.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at the completed layout. I started with some paper from the DCWV School Days Pad as well as the Paper Studio Dots and Stripes Pad. I then chose some fun files from the Pazzles craft room including the craft room exclusive file I created, My School Ride.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a closer look at the school ride part of the title as well as the stop sign.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used another file from the craft room, Highway Vacation File. I used some inks to add a little dimension to the grass, clouds and sun.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
And of course because it is National Stamping month, I used a couple of stamps from the Close To My Heart. The Ready, Set Go stamp set. I added a button and twine to finish the look.

Here is one last look at the layout. You can get all of these files when you subscribe to the Pazzles Craft Room. One of the best options for your crafty dollars! CLICK HERE for all the details.
