Card #2 Using January Stamp of the Month with Coordinating SVG Die Cuts

Happy Thursday crafty friends,

Hope your week is going well. I wanted to share the second card I created using this month’s Stamp of the Month set along with the second card base I created with the SVG-die cut file set for this stamp collection. 

The finished card size is almost an A2 size it is 4.25 x 5.25. I started with a kraft cardstock base. I then used some pink cardstock for the inside. For the top mat, I used some retired dotty for you teal paper and then used some white cardstock to cut out the heart shapes, the lattice piece and the flowers. I then used my Cotton Candy Ink Pad to stamp the hearts and then used some of my lagoon ink pad to ink the flower petals. I layered the flower petals and then added a pearl accent to the centers. I used some white ribbon to make the bow and to wrap the lattice piece. I did also use just a touch of Whisper Ink to ink the edges of the pink mat.

Here’s a closer look at the flowers. To get the soft look, I cut them in white cardstock and then inked the layers with my lagoon ink pad. I gently curled and staggered the layers to give them a more realistic look. I did use a bit of foam tape underneath so there would be a little lift to the flowers.

Here’s a closer look at the finished bow and a you can also see the flowers from a different angle.

This shot shows you the card slightly open so that you see the base of the card has the heart outline pre cut. Making placement of your white die cut and stamped heart pieces a snap.

January Stamp of the Month Card #1

Happy Sabbath crafty friends!
Wow, already January 3rd, 2015! Time is flying by for sure. Today I want to share a card I created with this month’s Stamp of the Month.

Super fun stamp set that you can pick up for only $5 with a  qualifying purchase of $50 or more…OR you can go ahead and purchase it at regular price too! So here is what I came up with for today.

Here’s a look at my completed card. It is an A2: 4.25 x 5.5 finished size. I created the whole card base to fit the various stamps in this set. The patterned purple and black diagonally striped paper is from the Scaredy Cat paper collections.  I used my White Daisy Ink Pad to stamp the sentiment on black cardstock and used my EK Success mini flourish punch to add the flourishes to the purple flower embellishment. I then finished off the main sentiment area with a couple of silver sequins.

Here is the Cut file bundle I created that coordinates with this Stamp set. It includes two card bases that fit the various stamps from this set as well as individual cuts for the various stamps themselves. Here’s a closer look at the flower embellishment I used. You can also see where I inked the edges of the sentiment white mat with my Lagoon Ink pad.  I also used my Gypsy Ink Pad to ink the edges of the bottom layer of the heart. It was cut with white cardstock. The top heart cut was also cut with white cardstock and then I used my Lagoon Ink Pad to stamp the heart-love this sentiment.

Here’s a closer look at the xoxo border. I stamped the xoxo with my white daisy ink pad onto some black cardstock. I created the border to fit this stamp so that I could stamp it out twice and leave a small space in the middle for the heart. The outer wavy border mat was cut in white cardstock and then I inked the edges of that with my Lagoon Ink pad.

Happy New year crafty friends!

I hope 2015 will be a good year for you and yours. I pray the Lord will bless you and keep you. I am really looking forward to 2015 for a few reasons. I know the Lord is going to move in new and profound ways like we have never seen before. I know that I have several tough challenges ahead in this year of “renewal and release” but I have every confidence in Jehovah Nissi, my banner! As with most beginnings, it is a time of reflection on the past as well as a time to focus and organize with thoughts of moving forward. I am going to be moving my crafty life in a new direction with renewed focus and some wonderful crafty inspiration. Stay tuned for a fun, inspiring and informative crafty 2015.
