TBT Fall Wreath And Tri-Fold Sunflower Card

Happy Thursday crafty friends,
It has been chilly here in Florida….YEESSSS! Relief…I am not complaining about the heat though…but it is nice to be able to open the windows and get a crisp breeze. Today is Throwback Thursday around the net, so I wanted to share a couple of projects I have created in the past.

Here is my second project. I made this card last year and it was such a fun card to make. It is a tri-fold card. I used the PCW Tri Fold SVG Card cut files and some DCWV Halloween and Fall Stack papers.

Give Thanks Autumn Flowers Card

Happy Wednesday crafty friends,
Today I am sharing another Autumn-Thanksgiving card with you.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a view of my card. It measures 4.25 x 5.5. I cut the base of the card in kraft cardstock. The card base is an SVG file from PCW. I then cut a mat in dark brown cardstock and then used the DCWV Sweater Weather stack for the gorgeous foil striped paper.

Here’s a closer look at the large stamped flower. I used my Autumn Terracotta ink pad for the flower and my Olive ink pad for the leaves. I stamped them on some Colonial White cardstock . The stamps are from the Happy Autumn Stamp Set.

Here’s a look at the smaller stamped flowers. I stamped two flowers and two leaves.

Here is a closer look at the ribbon. I wove the ribbon through the lattice part of the card and then tied a bow to the center.

For the sentiment, I used the same stamp set and stamped it with my Chocolate ink pad. The paper I stamped the sentiment on was also from the same DCWV Sweater Weather Stack. Here is one last look at my card. Now to write a message and send it off Smile

Let’s Talk Turkey!!!

Happy Monday crafty friends,
Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. With Halloween officially behind us, it is time to “talk Turkey”.  So I decided to start out November with a really quick and easy card.
happy turkey day card-480
I used some papers from the DCWV Halloween and Fall Stack. I started with a plain kraft cardstock base. I used the pre-colored version of the digital turkey stamp. Once I printed it out, I added some extra dimension to him by coloring him in with my various copic markers. This made it really fast and easy. I then added a border with some paper and then some olive ribbon and was done!

Here’s another card I created that was also really quick and simple. I used the same layout for this card to make it super simple. I also once again used the pre-colored Cornucopia digi and printed it out. I then added some quick dimension by using a few of my Copics. I used more of the same DCWV Halloween and Fall stack papers and added another border and ribbon. For this one I also used some May Arts hemp cord and a little button. Another fast and easy design.

Two quick and easy cards to kick off my Thanksgiving card needs!

National Digital Scrapbook Day & A FREEBIE SET

Happy Sabbath Crafty Friends,
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today is National Digital Scrapbooking Day. I am not a digital scrapbooker….really, but enjoy working with graphics and that kind of rolls into “digital scrapbooking”. So I wanted to share a couple of layouts I created that were all digital. Yep… I completed my first ever all digital layouts. So let’s get started.

First, I created this Studio J. Layout. For those unfamiliar, Studio J is an online software-program from Close To My Heart that allows you to create some fun digital layouts in no time at all. It takes you step-by-step through the process. So here is the layout I created.

studio j layout my blessings-490
The layout configuration was a layout option so I just selected that, selected the “kit” and then went from there. It was very easy to do and in no time at all, I had a completed two page layout! This month Studio J layouts are only $5 bucks a piece.CHECK OUT THE LUCKY 5 PROMO HERE I can tell you, I would have spent more buying the embellishments alone! I was pretty happy with the way this turned out. You can go to Studio J and poke around and sign up for free and create your own layout. You don’t have to “purchase” anything first and you can create your layout(s) and then decide if you want to purchase them. CLICK HERE to check it out.

Next, I used regular digital elements and created this layout in Adobe Photoshop
natural beauty-taylor-melin-490
This is a layout of my beautiful niece Taylor….indeed a natural beauty! I used elements and papers from the digital scrapper kit: Nature’s Playground by Kim Brodelet. This was the first layout I ever completed from start to finish in Photoshop. It was a lot of fun and I hope to be able to carve out some more time to play around. There are some digi scrappers out there that do some AMAZING work!

So as I thought about how to end this post, I thought, I need to still mention how “digital” touches “crafty realms” with traditional scrapping for me all the time….how? Quite simple, when I create a digi stamp or do a print n cut. So I thought I would at least share a little digi set that both digi scrappers and traditional scrappers can use.

DCWV October Stackaholic Challenge Layout

Happy Thursday crafty friends,
Hope your day is going well! I wanted to share the layout I created for the October DCWV Stackaholic template challenge.

Here’s a look at my completed layout. I used the DCWV Neon Chic Stack for the green background paper. The DCWV Fall & Halloween Value Stack for the black multi-dot paper for the border. The Fall & Halloween Basics Stack for the black and orange heart paper for the picture mat. As this was for this month’s Stackaholic Template challenge, I followed along with the challenge.

Here is the template we were give to springboard from.

Here’s a closer look at the cute little Kitty paper piecing from the PaperCraftingWorld.com  Carving Out Memories Cut file set. I did make a video on how I put him together. You can check it out HERE

Here’s a closer look at my trio of pumpkins. I did ink the edges of them slightly with my Autumn Terracotta mini ink pad from the Adventure Ink Pad set. You can also see in this shot a closer look at the cute little border of ric rac I added. I love to add ribbon and textile to my layouts where I can. Gives them a nice dimension.
candy borderb-490
This is a closer look at the candy border. I started with a strip of purple paper and then punched the edges with my Martha Stewart Punch. I then cut out several pieces of candy in different colors and then layered them on top of the border It was hard for me not to want to ink and chalk all these pieces, but I wanted to keep them simple and I didn’t have as much time. So I thought they would be good just the way they are.
tag closeupb-490
This is a closer look at the cute little journaling tag. I added a bow of sheer purple ribbon and a cute little button. This a perfect spot for some journaling. The tag came from the DCWV Fall & Halloween tag set. When I went looking for the Eek a Boo stack almost a couple of weeks ago. Although it says halloween, the nice bright colors of assorted tags would work perfectly for so many other occasions…including birthdays. So I figured, I couldn’t go wrong with picking them up.
