Let’s Talk Turkey!!!

Happy Monday crafty friends,
Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. With Halloween officially behind us, it is time to “talk Turkey”.  So I decided to start out November with a really quick and easy card.
happy turkey day card-480
I used some papers from the DCWV Halloween and Fall Stack. I started with a plain kraft cardstock base. I used the pre-colored version of the digital turkey stamp. Once I printed it out, I added some extra dimension to him by coloring him in with my various copic markers. This made it really fast and easy. I then added a border with some paper and then some olive ribbon and was done!

Here’s another card I created that was also really quick and simple. I used the same layout for this card to make it super simple. I also once again used the pre-colored Cornucopia digi and printed it out. I then added some quick dimension by using a few of my Copics. I used more of the same DCWV Halloween and Fall stack papers and added another border and ribbon. For this one I also used some May Arts hemp cord and a little button. Another fast and easy design.

Two quick and easy cards to kick off my Thanksgiving card needs!

National Digital Scrapbook Day & A FREEBIE SET

Happy Sabbath Crafty Friends,
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today is National Digital Scrapbooking Day. I am not a digital scrapbooker….really, but enjoy working with graphics and that kind of rolls into “digital scrapbooking”. So I wanted to share a couple of layouts I created that were all digital. Yep… I completed my first ever all digital layouts. So let’s get started.

First, I created this Studio J. Layout. For those unfamiliar, Studio J is an online software-program from Close To My Heart that allows you to create some fun digital layouts in no time at all. It takes you step-by-step through the process. So here is the layout I created.

The layout configuration was a layout option so I just selected that, selected the “kit” and then went from there. It was very easy to do and in no time at all, I had a completed two page layout! This month Studio J layouts are only $5 bucks a piece.CHECK OUT THE LUCKY 5 PROMO HERE I can tell you, I would have spent more buying the embellishments alone! I was pretty happy with the way this turned out. You can go to Studio J and poke around and sign up for free and create your own layout. You don’t have to “purchase” anything first and you can create your layout(s) and then decide if you want to purchase them. CLICK HERE to check it out.

Next, I used regular digital elements and created this layout in Adobe Photoshop

This is a layout of my beautiful niece Taylor….indeed a natural beauty! I used elements and papers from the digital scrapper kit: Nature’s Playground by Kim Brodelet. This was the first layout I ever completed from start to finish in Photoshop. It was a lot of fun and I hope to be able to carve out some more time to play around. There are some digi scrappers out there that do some AMAZING work!

So as I thought about how to end this post, I thought, I need to still mention how “digital” touches “crafty realms” with traditional scrapping for me all the time….how? Quite simple, when I create a digi stamp or do a print n cut. So I thought I would at least share a little digi set that both digi scrappers and traditional scrappers can use.
