Baby Shower Favors & Free File Link

Happy Thursday crafty friends,
This week at Pazzles is baby week. It was my turn to share so I created this super cute baby shower paper favor set I used my Pazzles Inspiration and some wonderful Pazzles craft room files.

Here’s a look at the set. It is a pair of baby booties and a little hot air balloon treat holder.

For the booties, I used the cute little baby bootie file in the party collection set to create the adorable bootie favors. This downloadable CD set from Pazzles is chock full of all sorts of super fun party idea files. I used some Die Cuts With A View papers from the baby girl stack. I simply added some lace and pearls around the bottom and pretty flower with gem for the "snap". I filled it with some candy kisses and they were ready to go!

For my hot air balloon favor, I used the free berry basket file (limited time from Pazzles) for the base. I hot glued two bamboo skewers to the sides of the basket and then inserted them into the balloon. The balloon is from the On the Move Hot Air Balloon file. Again, I used the same DCWV baby girl stack for the papers as well as the baby boy stack for the yellow gingham paper. I added the word baby to the banner with some paper studio flowers and some May Arts ribbon and it was done. I did cut two balloons out so the back of the balloon would look like the front. This also made it easy to sandwich the balloons onto the skewers. Lastly, I added some colored crocheted lace and some May Arts Pearl & lace ribbon around the top of the basket, added another flower with gem from Paper Studio and filled it with some candy kisses.

One last look at the complete project.

Ariana Layout Project 2 of 3

Happy Hump day crafty friends,
Hope your day is going well. Today I wanted to share my 2nd project featuring beautiful papers from the Ariana Paper Pack and the matching Ariana Chipboard Complements set. Here is what I came up with.
be you ariana layout-490
I created this one page layout using the Ariana collection as well as a piece of white cardstock and colonial white cardstock. This was a very easy layout. I used the colonial white cardstock to cut out the pretty frame die cut. I created the frame as part of the exclusive Ariana Layout elements SVG Cut file set. I used some of the Ariana Grey for the mats and the patterned papers are from the same collection. Following is a quick tip on how to get the most bang for your buck if you only have one sheet of paper. This is especially useful if you are going to be layering papers and don’t want to create extra bulk and of course if you have only one sheet of paper.

Quick Tip: Cutting A Frame from your paper for maximum use.
cut mat grey-450
For the grey outer mat, I cut out a square 6x6. That means I left a 2” border.

patterned mat-450
Patterned paper cut out. First I trimmed this paper to 11.5 x 11.5. Next I cut out the center at 1.5” inches in from each side. This created a leftover square of 8.5 x 8.5”

mat cut2-490
Here are the two mats layered onto each other. The thick frame allows for the rest of the layout to be sturdily glued to the frame for support while still being able to use the cut out pieces as extras.

Retiring Ariana Layout Project 1 of 3

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a layout I created with the beautiful Ariana paper and matching chipboard complements collection. This is one of the collections that will be retiring at the end of the month.

ariana layout-490
Here’s a look at the complete layout. I used papers from the Ariana Paper pack and some of the matching Ariana chipboard complements. I did also add in some black cardstock, white cardstock and kraft cardstock.

camerasentiment-490
Here’s a closer look at the nice chipboard sentiment. I cut the camera and filmstrip from the Artbooking cartridge.

filmstrip-490
This large filmstrip also came from the Artbooking cartridge. I used the silver metallic marker to add the little details. I cut it out in white cardstock and black cardstock. I just put the white squares into the black frame.

oh snap cu-490
Here’s a closer look at the camera chipboard shape. I again used my Artbooking cartridge to cut out the Oh snap and filmstrip die cuts. I used my journaling pen to do the faux stitching around the mat.

polaroidmat-490
Here’s a closer look at one of the Polaroid shaped mats. Again, cut from my Artbooking Cartridge. I wrapped it in some thin blue ribbon and faux stitched around the mat. I used some foam tape to give the frame a little lift.

titlecu-490
Here’s a look at the title pieces. I again cut the little polaroid frames from my Artbooking cartridge. I stamped the background of the white mat with my bamboo ink pad and the diagonal striped stamp from the In the background stamp set.

Here’s a closer look at the chipboard ampersand, smile and arrow elements.

One last look at the complete layout.
