I hope you are having a wonderful Spring Sunday morning. If you are following along with the Psalms reading and the counting of the Omer, here is today’s portion.
Heth
57 You are my portion, O Lord;
I have said that I would keep Your words.
58 I entreated Your favor with my whole heart;
Be merciful to me according to Your word.
59 I thought about my ways,
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The cords of the wicked have bound me,
But I have not forgotten Your law.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You,
Because of Your righteous judgments.
63 I am a companion of all who fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64 The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy;
Teach me Your statutes.
Psalms 119: 57-64
Beautiful passage. Who among us doesn’t need to entreat the favor of the Lord and ask him to be merciful to us? I for one know how much I need Him. Has there ever been a time when you felt tangled up in the “cords of the wicked”? I know I have plenty of times.
Today’s crafty post is a recap of this week’s projects
I was really busy this week sharing some Close To My Heart Crafty inspiration. My intent was to show you what wonderful things you can do with the Close To My Heart Product line. Here are the individual post links.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! First, things first. Here is the reading in Psalms for today.

49 Remember the word to Your servant,
Upon which You have caused me to hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
For Your word has given me life.
51 The proud have me in great derision,
Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
52 I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord,
And have comforted myself.
53 Indignation has taken hold of me
Because of the wicked, who forsake Your law.
54 Your statutes have been my songs
In the house of my pilgrimage.
55 I remember Your name in the night, O Lord,
And I keep Your law.
56 This has become mine,
Because I kept Your precepts.
Psalms 119: 49-56
Now on for today’s project. Today is my beloved sister in law’s birthday. In true Melin form, I am a day late and a dollar short in sending out her card. But I thought I would at least post it on here. I had originally started on something else, but then was inspired to go ahead and give the famous Card In A Box a try. So I just had to take the time to make a cut file for it. This way I could just cut them out instead of having to think about the measurements, etc. So here it is.
So while I made the card in a box template to cut out on my beloved Pazzles, I still went ahead and used the Cricut and my new Artbooking cartridge for all the “fluff”. I started by cutting out the base of the box in some kraft cardstock.
I then cut the corresponding panels out of some Skylark Paper. The paper cut like butter on my Pazzles and came together very quickly. SIDE NOTE: I do have photos of building the template. I have to edit them and then add them to this post a bit later. For those who may be unsure how the box goes together.
Card in a box cut file includes the card in a box base and the matching panels. The available formats are: AI, DXF, EPS, GSD, KNK, STUDIO, SVG and WPC. These should work with most electronic die cut machines out there including those who use the new Cricut Explore machine.
All of the decorative cuts are from the Artbooking cartridge bundle. . I cut the butterflies at 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and 2” each. I cut the cupcake at 3” and I cut the celebrate title at .75”. Oh and that lovely note tag in the back was cut at 4”. SIDE NOTE: All of these were cut with the REAL DIAL SIZE KEY. That had a corresponding stamp in the Artbooking bundle. I used the saddle ink to stamp the image and then wroth my note with a brown fine point sharpie I had on hand. The butterflies were cut with some Blue cardstock and kraft cardstock. I then inked the edges of the butterflies with my Lagoon Ink. I did use the Lagoon ink that is in the Adventure Ink Pad set.
They are the little square inks and they are slightly different than the big CTMH ink pads. I used the Sweet leaf and crème brulee from the Whimsy Ink Pad set for the candle. I stamped the heart shape that is also part of the Artbooking Bundle in Sweet leaf. I then used the 4 You banner from the remarkable wreath stamp set and stamped that in Lagoon ink.

41 Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord—
Your salvation according to Your word.
42 So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
For I have hoped in Your ordinances.
44 So shall I keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts.
46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings,
And will not be ashamed.
47 And I will delight myself in Your commandments,
Which I love.
48 My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments,
Which I love,
And I will meditate on Your statutes.
Psalms 119: 41-48
What a beautiful passage of Hope and confidence in Him. I hope you’re blessed by the strength of these words. Now on to today’s project.
Here is my completed card. I created the shaped card with a lattice overlay. The sentiment if from Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the Go kit(retired). I used the Love Clusters stamp set for the butterfly. And the background stamp is from the In The Background Flair Stamp set. I used some Pink gems for the centers of the flowers.
Here is a closer look at the sentiment. It is from the retired Buzz and Bumble Workshop On The Go Kit. I stamped it in Whisper Ink.
The stamped doily and the flowers are from some retired CTMH stamp sets. The doily is from the Simple Memories set. I stamped it with some Whisper Ink. The flower is from the Card Word Puzzle set. I stamped the flowers with some Blush ink and I used some pink glitter gems for the centers. The butterfly is from the Love Clusters stamp set. I stamped it with some Lagoon Ink. This stamp set coordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. BUT, I also created coordinating cut files for those who work with other electronic die cut machines.
