Doodlecharms Santa and Rudolph Paper Piecing

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a cute Christmas layout with you. My first of this season.
Once again, I used the wonderful Doodle Charms cartridge along with some fantastic paper from the DCWV Sweet Stack. So here is what I created.

Here is a view of my completed layout. I used some very pretty paper from the DCWV Sweet Stack. Although this is not "Christmas" paper, I loved the pre-glittered, whimsy look of the red stripes and the pretty soft green with white paisley print.

Pazzles Pilgrim Turkey Place Cards

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing some super cute little Pilgrim turkey place cards I made for my Pazzles DT. These will be perfect for our Thanksgiving table this year. I used some fabulous patterned paper from the DCWV Autumn Melody and Pumpkin Patch Stacks.

Here is a view of my 6 turkeys. Three boy and three girls.
All the cut files are from the Pazzles craft room.
I combined the turkey for the turkey boxes file along with the Gobbler Turkey file to create these cuties. Instead of regular tail feathers, I used the one of the files from the nine rosette file set. I simply spread the rosette out half way instead of all the way around. I glued them to a piece of black cardstock and then inserted that into the place card base from the Thanksgiving Place Card Holder file set. To dress up the base, I cut some cute pumpkins from the Pumpkin and Fence cut file. The turkeys were cut from some Bazzill cardstock and the pumpkins and the “tail feathers” were cut from the DCWV Autumn Melody and Pumpkin Patch Paper Stacks.

Here’s a closer look at one of the place cards. I used my chalk inks and regular chalks to give the turkey pieces dimension. This shot also shows the cute little name signs I created with my Pazzles Pen tool. That pen tool makes this a SNAP! Even the perfect faux stitched border was created with two clicks of a mouse button!!!!

Here is a look at my entire two page layout. All the cuts were from the Doodlecharms Cartridge. This includes the super cute little crow paper piecings I created. The letters are from the Art Philosophy cartridge. All of the pretty, patterned paper is from the DCWV Citrus Stack. I love that these paper would work for many different types of layouts and projects.

Here is a closer look at the cute little crow sitting on top of a photo mat holding his cornstalk. Next to him is a basket full of harvest goodies. All of these were cut with the Doodlecharms Cartridge and my Expression. No Gypsy, Design Studio or Craft Room. I used some Pebbles Basic Chalks for the white around the crow’s pieces as well as some Frost White Pigment Ink. I used Maroon Chalk Ink for the apples, Cocoa for the basket, Orange for the Pumpkins. Warm Green for the leaves and stalks. Butterscotch for the corn, beaks, feet and hay bale. I also used my Copic E59 marker to color the apple and pumpkin stems. I decided to do that as opposed to cutting out all of the stems separately in brown paper…Waste not, want not Smile
