Cartridge Showcase: Give A Hoot

Welcome to our Market Fresh Mondaze Cartridge Showcase.  This week our fabulous designer, Evelyn, from My Little Craft Blog, has another great showcase for you from the Give A Hoot cartridge. Take it away Evelyn!

This is Evelyn from  My Little Craft Blog,  again with another Market Fresh Mondays cartridge showcase. This week, I'm featuring Give a Hoot. This cartridge has lots of great cuts on it. It also has simple two-layer accents that coordinate with the main image on each page, and there is a shadow for both the main image and the accent. There’s a two-layer charm feature as well as some really great borders, that are also two layers. It has such cute environmental-friendly phrases such as Go Green, Nature Lover, Recycle, Coexist.

I used the main image on these scrapbook pages:

Here’s an example of the charm feature used on a card:

Here are a couple examples of the phrases:

I used the next image on page 32 without the eggs for a co-worker whose only child was heading off to college:
clip_image016
I cut the base accent shamrock on page 41 at around 11 inches to use as a background for a Saint Patrick’s Day parade page:
clip_image018
Most of the images on this cartridge are cute, but there are several on the last row that have beautiful flourishes on them. I used two – the snail and the rabbit – to adorn a gift bag for a co-worker who was running a marathon!

Here is a note card I made just for this showcase. I used the fawn on page 52.

You probably have this cartridge on a shelf somewhere! Take it out and get reacquainted with it. I think you’ll fall in love with it all over again!

Digi Desserts Fridaze

Good Morning crafty friends, Larelyn your Digi Desserts Fridaze Coordinator here to welcome you to Paper Crafting World / Cooking with Cricut's newest weekly feature
We're so glad you're here and hope that you will make this a regular Friday stop.

So, what is Digi Desserts Fridaze?
Every Friday we're going to feature projects which use digital stamps and word art from
 Paper Crafting World.com

If you haven't tried digital stamps, you're in for a treat.  The glorious thing about digital stamps is that you can size the image to fit whatever project you're working on.  You don't need a special editing program either.  I print all of my images from Word 2010.

Melin's digi stamps come in jpg and png file formats and as of January 1, 2012 all new images come pre-colored AND black and white line art.  So, if you feel like coloring (Copics, Prismas, Distress Markers, whatever coloring medium you love) the line art is for you.  However, if you just want the pre-colored image, simply print it out and it's ready for your project.

As a special treat, you'll find a FREEBIE at the end of each Fridaze post.  Now there's no excuse for not giving digital stamps a try!

Let's take a look at this week's projects created by Design Team members from both Cooking with Cricut and Paper Crafting World.

PCW Digi Stamp : Bear in Pumpkin Suit and retired image

PCW  Digi Stamp : Bear as Pirate

PCW  Digi Stamp : Bear in Pumpkin Patch

and Super Hero Kitty w Treat CF (for the candy pieces)

Finally, here are two projects created using this week's FREEBIE:

After you pick up your freebie, how about you share with us what you create with it! Below is an Inlinkz link to link up your creation using the Freebie for this week's post It will stay open for a few weeks, but we will select one random link next week to win an extra digi of their choice from PCW! Good morning crafty friends,
Welcome to our Terrific Tuesday PCW Die Cut & Or Stamp Challenge. This week our designers were tasked with making a project using.....NUMBERS.

BEFORE we share our projects, I would just like to take a moment and share a prayer and blessing on this important day.
“Father God, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus and take a moment to remember all of those who lost their lives this day in 2001. Lord, you hold our days and our time in your hand. Please be merciful to all those who were left behind. Lord it was such a devastating loss for our country. Be gracious and merciful to our country. Heal and restore according to your purpose and plan. Thank you for such a great country to live in. May we bring you honor and Glory in all we do. In the mighty name of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) Our Lord and Savior....Amen”.

Hello Kitty Cartridge Showcase

Good morning crafty friends,
Melin here. Our Cartridge Showcase Designer and Coordinator Charlotte is under the weather. So today I am here to introduce this week’s cartridge showcase. Our CWC and PCW Designer Evelyn is here to share some precious gems from her Hello Kitty Cartridge so take it away Ms. Evelyn!

Hi, this is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog. I’m showcasing the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. It has such cute images on it. Who doesn’t love Hello Kitty? The cartridge has a card feature for each of its images. I used the valentine card from page 49 to make this card for my sister:
clip_image002

I have used the little flower from page 47 numerous times. It’s really adorable, and can be used for so many things. Here are two different note cards and a mini-album cover:
clip_image004
clip_image006
clip_image008

I used the rainbow from page 57 in a Wizard of Oz album for my daughter:
clip_image010

I used Hello Kitty as Santa in a concentration game made for last year’s 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun.
clip_image012

I used another HK cutie to make altered notebooks. These were for two girls graduating from high school. The notebooks were used for autograph books at their graduation party.
clip_image014

I used the cherries on page 31 to adorn a little notepad for my purse.
clip_image016

Lastly, I used the sad Kitty from page 45, omitting the tears with my Gypsy to make it look like she’s covering her mouth for a cough or sneeze. I placed her on box from page 26 of Wrap it Up, and inserted a small packet of tissues in the box. The pretty borders are from Paper Crafting World’s Sweet Layout cut file set.

Hello Kitty Greetings is an oldie but a goodie. I turn to Hello Kitty every time I want to make somebody smile! Evelyn

WOW what a fabulous showcase Evelyn shared with us!  Don’t you just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE each project?!! Okay I confess, I am totally going to C.A.S.E. that super cute tissue box for this upcoming cold season!

Please be sure to head over to her blog and give her a great big THANK YOU for the wonderful inspiration! Evelyn’s Blog

While you’re at it, please also stop by Charlotte’s blog and wish her a speedy recovery and for those who pray, please say a get well soon prayer for her too :)

Be sure to head back our way tomorrow as we reveal another Terrific Tuesday PCW Die Cut and or Stamp Challenge!
