Boxed Mini Album

Hello crafty friends,
I recently had the chance to share this pretty mini album box set I recently created for my Pazzles Design Team Assignment.
boxed mini album cover-650
I started by creating the box. It's very easy to do. You can watch the video in the craft room that shows you how easy it is to do.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is the outside of one side of the box. I typeset the scripture reference and printed it out. I created and cut out the photo corners in regular white cardstock. I then used some gold embossing powder to emboss them and give them a more metallic look.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is the other side of the box. I typeset the prayer and once again, created the photo corners and cut them out of white cardstock. I embossed these with gold embossing powder as well. I did also use some foam tape to give the panel a little lift.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a closer look at the box lid. I used a couple of flower files from the craft room for the flowers. I created the butterfly cut file and like the photo corners, I cut it out of plain white paper and then embossed them with gold embossing powder. I used some pearls and some gems for the centers of the flowers.

Here is a view of the mini album inside the box. The pages are simple accordion fold pages.

Here is just a closer view of one of the photo corners.

This is a side view of the box. I used the wrought iron decorative file from the Pazzles Craft Room and some more of the flowers.

Here is a look at the album pages.  I then used the Doilie Frame2 and the Fancy Frame files from the craft room and alternated them on the pages using white cardstock. All of the patterned paper is from the Craft Smith Painted Posies Paper Pad. Instead of using the pages for an actual album, I decided to make my pages into sections of Psalms 119 for the upcoming counting of the Omer. The pages are the right size for a great family album.

Birthday Card With FREE SVG

Happy Monday crafty friends,
WHEW…it’s been a while since I have had the chance to blog. Just a lot going on in the home front. Last week I had the chance to share on the Pazzles blog and so I wanted to share that project with you today.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at my complete layout. The finished size of the card is a  standard A2: 4.25 x 5.5 size.

I started by using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue software to create this super fun number overlay. The software makes it a cinch to do. Once I had created it, I used the software to re size it to the correct size I would need. I cut the panel to a 4 x 5.25 size. I then cut some fun yellow with white polka dot paper for the background.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used one of the rosettes from the Nine Rosettes file to create the rosette. The patterned paper came from the DCWV Little Mister Stack. I then turned to my stamps to stamp the happy birthday sentiment. The sentiment is from the You Mean The World To Me Stamp set.    I used my Cranberry Ink Pad.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
You can see the border I used to stamp the stripes.  I used some white cardstock and then my Indian Corn Blue Ink Pad along with my In The Background Diagonal Stamp for the border. I then used my Silver Shimmer Trim and my Turquoise Shin Han Marker to color the silver shimmer trim so that the color would coordinate with my project.

Pazzles Embossed Vellum With The Pazzles Embossing Tool

Hello crafty friends,
It was my turn to share on the Pazzles website yesterday. So I created this pretty and easy card. The task was to use one of the many wonderful tools that Pazzles offers. So I decided to turn my attention to the embossing tool. I love that you can emboss different surfaces with your tool and machine. I decided to go with some vellum for a card.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a look at the completed card. The finished size is 5 x 6.5. I used a white cardstock base. All of the patterned papers are from the Craft Smith.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I started by using my software to layout the top of the card that would be embossed. I used the Cherry-Chrysanthemum file and created the vellum overlay. I then cut it out of vellum and again with some patterned paper. I wanted a different pattern under the vellum. The patterned paper I used was from Craft Smith a new paper line. The stack used was Blackberry Lemon. I used a cream cardstock for the base.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added some ribbon and some tiny jewels for the centers of the flowers. I stamped the sentiment from a stamp set and used my Red Barn Ink pad. It all came together very quickly and Pazzles made it look spectacular!

Supplies Used
Cherry-Chrysanthemum File
Queen & Company Gems

I hope you are inspired to pull out all the tools for your wonderful machine. And by the way, if you don’t have a Pazzles, don’t forget they have a fantastic special where you can buy the machine for only 99! You can get all the details here!

Throwback Thursday Let It Snow 12 Winter Themed Layouts

Happy Thursday crafty peeps.
I have been so busy with “paperwork” that I haven’t had a chance to get some crafting done. So I was hoping to go ahead and share a few projects I have made in the past for your inspiration and viewing pleasure. With many parts of the country still dealing with snow, I thought it might be fun to dig around my computer for some “snow-fun” layouts I created in the past. Fontastic Layouts With My Pazzles

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Hello crafty friends,
Today is my turn to share at Pazzles. I am sharing a fun set of layouts using something we all have...FONTS. With so many free font sites and options, you can really express your creative style!
Here are the layouts I created:

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at the completed layout.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I started with my Pazzles software and created the word background. I cut it out on some black cardstock. I popped all the letters out and made sure to edit letters like "a" and "o" so that they wouldn't have any pieces "falling out" of the template.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used the template as a mask and sponged some chocolate ink on the pink cardstock. I loved that it gave it a vintage look.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then took a flower stamp from the Pick a Posey Stamp Set and the same chocolate ink and inked around the layout. I matted that onto a kraft cardstock base that also had a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Hobby Lobby Paper Studio Kellerkurtz & Company Stack.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used my sewing machine to stitch around the pink paper with some black thread.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used a couple of files from the craft room to create the flourished photo corners. I cut those out of black cardstock.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added some ribbon from May Arts and a couple of chipboard embellishments I had in my stash and all done. It wasn't too hard to do, and I let the wording of the template and the photo take center stage.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a closer look at the chipboard elements.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
One more chipboard element and a couple of brass brads.

Layout 2 Family Ties
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
For the second layout, I decided to use the same word background template I had created. I chose some fun graphic style paper from the DCWV The Homeroom Stack for the dotted paper as well as the yellow graphic paper. I used the very same template. Because it was in black the ink from the previous project did not stain the paper and it was good to go.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I found the cute heart house file in the craft room and welded it to the title I created.  I finished off the little heart by wrapping it with some silver metallic twine and a silver sequins

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added the Family and Ties fonts and welded it all together.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here are a few silver sequins for an added touch.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added a couple of accents and a quick banner cut and all done. Another pretty easy and fun layout! All the files are available free in the Pazzles Craft Room post for Craft room members. so be sure to head over to the post and check it out: HERE
