Today is a SUPER special day. Today is the release of the new CTMH catalog! It is the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book. It is chock full of so many kinds of paper crafting supplies. Everything from card making kits, scrapbooking kits, to gift packaging, jewelry and more! It has a wonderful mix of themes for every season and occasion as well as nine new paper collections. Let’s get started. Close To My Heart (CTMH) is continuing their Stamp of The Month and Monthly Specials, so we will focus on these two first. Every month there is a fantastic stamp set that you can purchase for only $5 when you make a $50 or more purchase through my CTMH LINK.

Almost Gone, SOUS Sketch & SVG files

Happy Wednesday crafty friends,
Today I am sharing another project with items that will be gone in a couple days. I created this layout following the sketch from the Stuck On U Sketches blog. See the link and image below.

For this layout, I used papers and chipboard elements from the Balloon Ride Collection

I also used the Remarkable Wreath Stamp Set. All of these products will retire in just two short days!

Here’s a closer look at the large svg cut file mat I created to match the stamp.

Here’s what the mat looked like when I stamped it. After stamped the flowers on half as I knew I would be covering the rest up with a coordinating circle mat.

Here is a closer look at the background I simply stamped the wreath and then used a stamp from the buttons stamp set. To create a lighter look I used the second generation stamping technique. Both stamps were stamped with my Twilight Ink Pad which is also on the retired list. You can also see the SVG border strip I created.

Here is a closer look at the wreath. I stamped the base in my  desert sand ink pad and then used my hollyhock ink pad for the flowers.

Here’s a closer look at one of the chipboard elements in the collection. I just used some foam tape to give it a little lift.

Here is a closer look at two of the floral chipboard elements also in the complements.

I followed the sketch for the current Stuck on u sketches challenge.

Here’s one last look at the complete project. It is a picture of my grandparents. My grandfather is gone, but my grandmother is still here.
