Retiring Ariana Layout Project 1 of 3

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a layout I created with the beautiful Ariana paper and matching chipboard complements collection. This is one of the collections that will be retiring at the end of the month.

ariana layout-490
Here’s a look at the complete layout. I used papers from the Ariana Paper pack and some of the matching Ariana chipboard complements. I did also add in some black cardstock, white cardstock and kraft cardstock.

camerasentiment-490
Here’s a closer look at the nice chipboard sentiment. I cut the camera and filmstrip from the Artbooking cartridge.

filmstrip-490
This large filmstrip also came from the Artbooking cartridge. I used the silver metallic marker to add the little details. I cut it out in white cardstock and black cardstock. I just put the white squares into the black frame.

Here’s a closer look at the camera chipboard shape. I again used my Artbooking cartridge to cut out the Oh snap and filmstrip die cuts. I used my journaling pen to do the faux stitching around the mat.

polaroidmat-490
Here’s a closer look at one of the Polaroid shaped mats. Again, cut from my Artbooking Cartridge. I wrapped it in some thin blue ribbon and faux stitched around the mat. I used some foam tape to give the frame a little lift.

Here’s a look at the title pieces. I again cut the little polaroid frames from my Artbooking cartridge. I stamped the background of the white mat with my bamboo ink pad and the diagonal striped stamp from the In the background stamp set.

Here’s a closer look at the chipboard ampersand, smile and arrow elements.

One last look at the complete layout.

Waves of Fun Card

Happy Monday crafty friends,
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. Today I wanted to share a card I created with last week’s free email-newsletter update subscriber’s svg cut file. I got a little behind on my posting schedule and had to shift some things around, so that is why this project is behind.
waves of fun card-490
Here’s a look at my finished card. I started with a Kraft cardstock base. I added a layer of white cardstock for a mat and then used the striped paper from the Skylark Paper Pack collection for the main background.  I used my Pazzles Inspiration to cut the SVG title out in the necessary layers. I used my Cricut Artbooking cartridge and Cricut Expression to cut the palm trees and the notebook paper die cuts.  I stamped the lines onto the notebook paper with the coordinating stamp using the soon to retire Twilight Ink Pad.

Here’s a closer look at the palm tree fronds. I used some retired opaques to mimic the coconuts.

Here’s a closer look at the title. I used some buttercup, outdoor denim, white and champagne cardstock.

Quick Tip On Coloring the Palm Fronds
with pear-490
I cut the palm tree fronds in white cardstock. I then used my Pear Ink Pad and sponged the die cut. You can use your daubers or a sponge.

with topiary-490
I then used my Topiary Ink Pad and sponged some onto the bottom half of each frond. I also brushed the ink onto the edges to deepen the color and add a little more dimension.

inked trunks-490
I used my chocolate ink pad to ink the sides of the tree trunks. Adhered the fronds onto the trunks and all done. Super simple.

One last look at the complete card.
