A Note For You Pastel Card

Hello crafty friends,
So glad you came by. Today I am sharing another card created with some Close To My Heart products. Here’s what I came up with.

a note for you pastel-480
Once again I used the Just For You stamp set and created the flower in the center.  I created some cut files to correspond with the stamp set.

CTMH-b1398 just for you-450
Here is the cut files I created for this stamp set.  The colored lines show you the cuts for this set.

If you use the Cricut, this stamp set has some cuts that are compatible with the Art Philosophy cartridge. The colored outlines in this picture show you the cuts compatible with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

stamped petals-480
I started by cutting out several of the “petals” from my cut file in my Pazzles software. I then stamped them with my Blush ink pad.

flower first layer-480
I assembled the flower in two layers. Here is the first layer. I stamped one of the circles I cut out in Gypsy Ink using one of the stamps in the stamp set. I then glued the petals around the circle as shown in the picture above.

flower second layer-480
I then used a bit larger circle and glued another layer of petals to that. I made sure they were offset from the first layer of petals. I wanted the second layer of petals to extend a bit further out than the top (first) layer.

flower closeup-480
I curled the petals and then added my leaves. I added some foam tape and then attached it to the square mat. I used the floral background stamp from the In The Background  stamp set. I stamped that layer with my honey ink pad.

The second layer, I used some pink cardstock and stamped again with the same stamp and my hollyhock ink pad. For the base layer I stamped again with the same stamp and used my buttercup ink pad. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment in Gypsy Ink Pad       onto some pink cardstock.

Side note: As I was playing around with making the flower, I came up with a couple of alternatives.

Believe In Yourself Card2 With FREE SVG File

Hello crafty friends,
I hope this day is starting out to be a blessed one. I don’t know how many of you are preparing for Passover, but it is such a blessed and holy time of year. If you are a Christian, then this is the actual and accurate feast day that has been set aside for us to remember how the Lord, the mighty one of Israel brought His people (us…if you believe you have been grafted into the vine) out of bondage. How this is the foreshadow of the perfect work of the cross and how Yeshua was the perfect lamb. I know many will be celebrating resurrection Sunday soon as well. While hiding eggs and giving candy has long been a tradition, it really has nothing to do with the meaning of the season. So as we have grown in the knowledge of our faith as a family, it has become more important for us to focus on the real meaning and understanding of our faith.  May the blessings of YHVH be upon you and your households. May the perfect work of the cross and the understanding of the Torah…teaching and instruction of His Word, be displayed in your lives and those in your family Smile

Now on to today’s project. Here is a card I created with Close To My Heart Products.

I started with a kraft base.

sponged-background-480
I then sponged some ink onto my white mat. I used Pear ink for the outside and Cotton Candy Ink for the inside.

cut file background-480
I created an SVG file Overlay that incorporates the use of the Sweet As Honey stamp set. I cut one of the overlays out and then used some buttercup ink and stamped on the solid parts with one of the stamps in the the set.

This is the overlay bundle I created that goes with the Sweet As Honey Honeycomb Stamp SetThey are in the following sizes: 6x6, 5.75x5.75, 4.25x5.5 and 4x5.25. Having these pre-formatted sizes will ensure that the honeycombs are the correct sizes for the stamp set. I also created the svg files for the stamps in the stamp set. I am offering this bundle free when you purchase this stamp set through my online gathering link.

Once I finished stamping the honeycombs, I adhered the overlay to my sponged mat.

believe sentiment-480
Next, I used the Believe in yourself sentiment from the Believe In Yourself stamp set and stamped it with some Sky ink pad. I added some of the bitty sparkles to the flourish. I used some foam tape to adhere it to the card for a little dimension.

flowers2-480
I then stamped some flowers from the Hello Blooms stamp set. I also created an SVG file for this stamp set.  I added some Clear Sparkles to the centers of my flowers and once again used some foam tape to give them a little lift.
