Piles of Smiles Crow Copic Colored Card

Good morning crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a card I created for the Digi Desserts Fridaze Post at MyPaperCrafting.com (formerly cooking with cricut). my nephew has an upcoming birthday so I thought this digi would be perfect!

Here is the picture of the completed card. I used some patterned paper from a stack I purchased at Michael’s. It is the Recollections bright and basic stack. I must admit, I am not too fond of this paper. It perforates at the top and leaves an unfinished, not so clean edge. So if you plan to use the full sheet, your layout will have a funky edge. So I have relegated the stack to “smaller uses”. But the price was right, and it’s been sitting around for well over a year so I figured I better make good use of it…lol!

This is a close up of the digi. I am still trying to get a feel of my coloring. I use the Georgia Pacific cardstock you can pick up at Walmart.  I realize that I need to make some money so that I can get some of the good Gina K. paper. I have heard from more than a few copic “officiandos” out there, that this is the primo paper for coloring.

Here is a pic of the markers I used. I know that was a lot of markers, but I just can’t seem to get my blending down without feeling like I have to keep throwing in colors…lol!

Here is a list of the supplies I used to complete my card
Bazzill White, Green and Kraft Cardstock
Recollections Bright and Basic Patterned Paper Stack
Copic Markers From Cutters Creek – See Photo for specific colors
Marvy Uchida Oak Leaf Punch
Lifestyle Crafts (Quickutz) Leaves Embossing Folder-Retired
Miscellaneous Button, Inks and Dew Drops

Don’t you just love that little crow image? Well he is FREE for the next week. Just head over to MyPaperCrafting.com’s Digi Desserts Fridaze Post and grab it while you can! You can also link up your own creation and share with us your work of h(art)!

Smorgasbord Saturday- Beautiful Projects

...A Little Late :-(

Good morning Crafty Friends,
Hope your Thursday is shaping up to be a wonderful one! Today’s post is actually a very late post that was supposed to happen on Saturday. I plum forgot to create the post and these wonderful designers were gracious enough to allow me to post today. Every other Saturday we are supposed to have a post of a variety of projects that the designers want to showcase. It can be anything they want to work on and doesn't have to fit any of our challenges. So without further delay here they are.

CWC #111: Anything Goes & Use Your "Stash!"

It's another wonderful Wednesday and our Crafts With Cutters Design Team has been challenged to use their "stash" -- you know . . . all those craft supplies you just HAD to have that have been collecting dust or all those bits and pieces of leftover card stock and paper you were saving for another use.  Well, we're all guilty of that, too!  So today is the day our team of talented ladies dusted off their poor, neglected supplies and bits of paper for our "Anything Goes" challenge.  Here is what they created:

Cricut cartridges used:  Birthday Bash, Create-A-Critter and
George & Basic Shapes
Stash supplies used:  Scraps, brads, rubber stamp and jute

Cricut cartridges used:  Accent Essentials and Cricut Decals

Cricut cartridge used:  Create-A-Critter

Cricut cartridge used:  Elegant Edges
Stash supplies used:  Stickers

Cricut cartridge used:  Heritage
Stash supplies used:  Scraps and stickers

Cricut cartridge used:  Simply Charmed
Stash supplies used:  Velcro

Charlotte
Cricut cartridges used:  Birthday Bash and Stone Script

Now it's your turn!  Use your neglected craft items and scraps to create anything your heart desires (make sure it includes a Cricut cut though!);  then upload your photo below for a chance to be named our weekly Top Crafty Cutter!  Here are some guidelines:

--> Must follow the challenge topic.
--> Must be a NEW project for this challenge; no backdated posts, please.
--> Must have a link back to this post on your blog.
--> Must link your project through Inlinkz and not just your blog.
--> Must use your Cricut in some capacity.
  --> Must have FUN!
--> You may gladly combine challenges . . . we love to pile it on, too!

Thanks so much for joining us for our weekly challenge.  Don't forget to click on the Designer's name to travel to their blog for more details on their fantastic projects and to leave an encouraging word or two.  We hope you'll join us Friday for our weekly Digi Desserts Fridaze!
