2 Cards, New Files, Sale!

Good morning crafty friends,
Today I wanted to share a couple of cards I made and also some information on our upcoming blog hop, new files at PCW, etc. So let’s get started.
First: I created these two cards using some CTMH products.

The finished card size is 5.5 x 5.5
CTMH Product:
 Black Cardstock
Simple Memories Stamp Set
Bling Assortment
Doily Scalloped Circle Cutting File Set from PCW.
Designer Paper (Zebra Stripe) and Hot Pink Cardstock from the Roxie Designer Paper Pack
Cream Cardstock
EK Success Scallop Border Punch
Pearl Accents

inked flower outlines-500
Inked the flower cut outs with my Blush Stamp Pad and then with my Hollyhock Stamp Pad on the outer edges.

I then used my Black Stamp Pad and one of the designs from the Stamp Set and stamped the image.

I used some of the hot pink cardstock and then stamped some images on it with my Black Stamp Pad and created my own “designer paper”. As you can see, I am still quite a novice with stamping and learning about “positioning” etc. But I figured it was good enough as the crooked parts were going to get covered up...lol.

Here is my second cardstock

Christmas in July CTMH Cards

Art Philosophy Christmas Cards
Christmas In July

Used The Art Philosophy Cartridge for this first card.

Here is a close up of the stamping. I used the Music Notes Background Stamp from the Universal Backgrounds Stamp Set. I stamped the red paper with cranberry ink to give it a soft, subtle, tone on tone look. I then used the “floral Flourish” Background Stamp from the Diverse Backgrounds Stamp set to stamp the scalloped frame in black. I had cut the frame out in plain parchment (cream) colored cardstock. I also cut the ornament out and used the Coordinating Stamp from the Art Philosophy Bundle to stamp the beautiful bird n’ flourish image with more Cranberry Ink. Lastly, I added a Bow with the Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon and some flat back pearls.

For this second card, Melin used the PCW Ornament Round Cut file. I created this cut file in my Pazzles Inspiration Software and cut it out with my Pazzles Inspiration.

The decorative part of the ornament was cut in the same parchment colored cardstock as the scalloped frame and base of the ornament. I then inked it with a sponge and my Cranberry Ink.
smooch
I then adhered it to the base and then took my Gold Lame smooch and colored in a few of the circles and the top.
put it together
I stamped the red paper with the sheet music stamp that is in the Universal Backgrounds set. I stamped it with Cranberry Ink as I wanted it to be a subtle background, a tone on tone look.

With this card you can see I also used the “vintagey text” stamp from this same stamp set on the plain scalloped frame. I then finished it by adding some faux stitching around the parchment mat.

CWC #94: "I Feel the Love" Project

Happy Wednesday and welcome to Cooking With Cricut!  Our Design Team challenge this week was to create birthday cards and decorations for children and teens staying in a homeless shelter.
CWC Design Team member Madison Womack is the creator/founder of the "I Feel the Love" Project and is dedicated to bringing a little bit of handcrafted love to people in need.  This month's outreach is for Sheffield Place in Kansas City.  Sheffield Place opened its doors in February 1991 as a community response to the growing population of homeless mothers and their children in the Kansas City area. Since then, they have assisted more than 560 families in making the difficult journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.  The volunteers throw a birthday party once a month for the children and teens living in the shelter and are in need of decorations that can be reused and birthday cards.

Here is what our Design Team came up with . . .
