Cartridge Showcase: Sesame Street and Friends

Hey Everyone!

I hope everyone has been enjoy this warm weather! Today Chef Madison from Funky Cards has cooked up some really fun and cute cards to share with you today. Madison is so insightful and is going to share some neat tricks and tips with you! So without further ado, here is Madison:

Hello, I'm Madison and Today I am showcasing the Cricut cartridge, Sesame Street and Friends. I will be sharing with you several cuts I made, several reasons why I enjoy using this cartridge, and finally sharing the cards I designed with the cuts.

These have to be three of my favorite all time characters from Sesame Street- Cookie Monster, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch!  When you see them you cannot help but think of the Friends of Sesame Street.  Each cut was made at 3.5 inches.

What I love about this cartridge is that each page tells you exactly what paper you will need for each item that you are cutting. There is no guessing! For example, you can see that it tells you when to use the blue paper and when to use the black paper to get the correct cut out.

Another reason I love this cartridge is that is has numbers! While that may not seem like a big deal because you have tons of cartridges with numbers, I like it because I use this cartridge to make birthday cards for kids. It is so much easier to cut out the numbers using the same cartridge rather than switching to a new cartridge.  I am currently making birthday cards for a project that I will be telling you about soon.  I do not currently know the ages for the recipients of these cards, so that is why I left them off.

Sesame Street and Friends Cricut Cartridge

Quick and easy and totally cute:)  Cookie Monster can brighten any card.

Once again, using the Cricut cut out on this card made this card quick and easy. A paper flower was added for a bit of dimension.

Oscar the Grouch's card is made from recycled wallpaper.
He is inked for interest as is his garbage can.

Quick and easy cards can come to life with this Sesame Street and Friends Cricut cartridge.  It can also be used for scrapbook pages for theme birthday parties:)  I really enjoyed making these cards and I can't wait to send them in the mail to some very deserving children.

Thank you for stopping by.
~Madison

Cricut Showcase: Paisley

Today I am so happy to bring to  you Natt from The Awesomeness of Crafting.  Natt has been such a delightful addition to the CWC design team.  She is always so positive and joyful.  And Natt is also very talented.  She loves anything about sewing and scrapbooking.   It doesn't get much better than that!  So with that, I bring you Natt and her fabulous showcase.

Hello everyone it's Natt Smith here with
you today to share some fun project on this Paisley cartridge show case.

As you can see in this cartridge it's full with fun shape that I think really
perfect for some girlies projects.
First I have to admit to you that I was so frastreted that I couldn't find perfect
stamp that I can use on sentiment.
Ok,'nuff talk. Let's get started.
"Happy Birthday to You
On this cart I make that Pegasus but cut < horse > and layers at 3" then added
on to card base that made with pattern paper and top with transparency.

"Miss you"
Cut < Snail> and layers at 2"

Last but not least. It will be unfair for me to use this "Paisley" cartridge but
don't make anything that include paisley so on this "Hello" card
I cut < Paisley2> and layer in different sizes 2.5",2" and 1.5". I also use
flip tools on Gypsy, love it ! so convenience doesn't have to think about turning
paper.
That's it everyone.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
A big thank you to Natt for this wonderful showcase.  And did you notice that she did some sewing on her projects!  Please go and visit Natt at The Awesomeness of Crafting and leave her some comments with love.  Please come back and join us daily here at Cooking With Cricut/  We always have something new to share with you.

Thanks,
Charlotte

Some Layouts And Free STUFF

Good morning crafty friends,

I just wanted to share a few layouts I have been working on recently. Normally I make “sample” pages that have just photo mattes and no pictures. But these are for a friend of a friend who is currently putting together books for her three adult children. So there was a lot to scrapbook.

My Sweet Girls Layout
my sweet girls-500
This layout is pretty simple. Nothing too fancy. The little girls on this layout are so precious looking! There were 8 photos to get on here, so we didn’t want to take away from any of them.
Cartridge used: Hello Kitty Font
Large letters: 2.5” Shadowed
Small Letters: 1.5” Shadowed
Large Butterfly: 3.5”
Small Butterfly: 2.5”

Childhood Memories Layout
cricut bear indian boy layout idea 500
This layout showcased several photos of different special occasions. Because these boys are twins, I made two Indian Bears.
indian bears closeup-500
I created this layout using the following cartridges:
Indian Bears: Paper Doll Dress Up
Childhood Title: Robotz and Gypsy (To Weld)
If you don’t have the Gypsy, you can still cut out the letters from the Robotz Cartridge alone.  The letters are approximately 2.25” high.

The memories title block is one that I created. You can download the FREE jpg file below. You can also download the FREE Gypsy File for the “Childhood” Title. You will need a Gypsy and the Robotz Cartridge for it to work.

Giddy Up Layout
cowboy horse cricut layout idea 500cricut horse giddy up layout idea-500
I honestly can’t remember if I shared this one before. So I am doing it again. This layout was pretty simple. I used the following cartridges:
Horse: Boys Will Be Boys
Giddy Up Title: Disney/Pixar Toy Story
I also used some buttons and some Cappuccino Twine from the The Twinery to make a “faux rope” to decorate the photo matte.

8th Grade Graduation Layout
cricut middle school layout idea 500

Here is another simple layout. I used the following cartridges:
Number and Letter for title: 3 Birds-Life’s A Party
Graduation Cap: Everyday Pop-Up Cards
Gypsy To Weld Them Together.

I created the “Graduation” title block. I used some Twine from The Twinery to create the “tassel” on the grad cap. If you would like the title, you can download the Gypsy file below.

Well, I think that is it for today. I don’t want to overload you. I will share some more tomorrow Smile
