Check out a few of the projects that I have made using this cricut cartridge!

First up is a simple birthday banner I made for a friend!
Next, a simple but fun birthday card!

The below card comes from one of the card features on the cartridge. I loved how the birthday presents looked with the fun pattern paper behind it.

This card, also comes from a card feature. The fox and the sentiment are also from this cartridge.

My daughter helped me make these cute valentines using the fun animal and bug images from the cartridge.

Well, I hope you enjoy the showcase and I hope you are inspired to create away!!

Blessings,
Jamie

Cricut Showcase: Boys Will Be Boys

Welcome to another Cricut cartridge showcase.  We are delighted to have the ever so talented Chef Becky from http://www.scrapcircus.blogspot.com/ to share with you some of her fabulous projects. Becky and her family live in Canadian Rocky Mountains in BC, Canada.  They have two children, a boy, and a girl.  Becky is such a fabulous member of our design team.  She brings with her a great sense of design, color and technique as you will notice in her showcase.

Today, Becky is showcasing the Cricut cartridge BOYS WILL BE BOYS.

This is a perfect cartridge to celebrate the joy of a little boy’s life! This adorable cartridge is filled with themed images such as vehicles, toys, sports, and animals. Whether you have a son, grandson, or nephew, this cartridge is sure to have images and phrases you need. There is even a font on this cartridge! I didn’t use it in any of my projects but it is an arrow font and looks like the word “BOYS” in the pic above^^

Each cut on this cartridge comes with a square or circle mat behind the image. You can use this feature or not. You will notice on all of my projects that I did not use the mat.

So let’s get to the showcase! I have a few projects to share with you today. First up, a card…

This rocket is so cute! I cut it out at 4”. I added little screw brads for some dimension, and I punched out a heart to go in the window since this is a ‘love’ card. The moon is cut from George and Basic Shapes.

Next I made a set of four 8x8 canvas’ to decorate a little guy’s room.

The Bulldozer was cut at 4” The Tow truck was cut at 6”. The Tractor was cut at 3”, and the Dump truck was cut at 4.5”

I made a banner for a friend and I used critters from a bunch of cartridges, but since I am showcasing Boys will be Boys today, I am only showing you the letters where I used cuts from this cartridge.

I love this little frog. He is so cute. The picture didn’t turn out great but I added some glossy accents to make him shiny.

Another letter on the banner had the gecko cut from this cartridge.

This little guys is so fun, I added the glossy accents to him as well to make him look all slippery and shiny.

For my last project I wanted to share that all the cuts on this cartridge are not just necessarily for boys. I made these sweet little valentines cards for my daughter to give out to the kids in her class this year. They are fun, and not to ‘lovey’ for her to give to the kids (especially for the boys). I made the girl valentines with a pink bike and the boys with a blue bike.

Sorry
Out For Publication

The cards are 4x4. I cut the bikes out at 2.5”. I used a punch for the clouds and the hearts. The sentiment was computer generated and I used a font called Calvin and Hobbes.

For those of you with little ladies in your life, I wanted to share some other cuts that would work for girls, including: sports cuts (baseball, basketball, soccer), tricycle, pail and shovel for the beach, kite, goldfish and bowl, sneaker, robot, fishing rod and fish, and I’m sure any of the other cuts depending of the type of girl you are scrapbooking!

Well, that is it for me today, I hope you enjoyed the projects. If you have a little boy (or a big one for that matter) in your life, this cartridge is for you!

Happy Scrapping
~Becky

Thank you Becky for a wonderful showcase.  Please remember to visit Becky at http://www.scrapcircus.blogspot.com/  and leave her some comments of love!  You will be glad you made the visit.  Also, be sure to come back tomorrow for another Terrific Tuesday Die Cut and Stamp Challenge by the PCW team!

A few Layouts N' Such

Good morning crafty friends,

Sorry for not posting this weekend. The school I have been taking my Hebrew Roots of my Christian faith classes opened their permanent location here. It has been an amazing Sabbath with some great teachings and it has literally consumed the last two days (and today) of my time....BUT I have so needed this! I can't wait to share some of the amazing things I have been learning with you soon!

In the meantime I just wanted to share this video with you. It is such a beautiful song. I hope you will take a moment to sit back and listen to it. The words are so powerful! I thank Yeshua that we have such a hope!

Here are a couple of layouts I had created for the Blog-Aversary. But didn't get a chance to get them up on the day they were intended.

SVG Cutting File Version
Here is a layout I created using the Dogwood Wreath Cutting File Set I created and gave away during the celebration. I used my Pazzles Inspiration to cut the files. If you missed it, you can get it HERE for a very nominal cost :)

Here is a close up of the butterfly and the flourish that is included in the set. You can also see that I used some shimmery chalks for the centers of the flowers.

CRICUT Art Philosophy Version
Here is the layout I made using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge.
Here is a close up of the butterfly. If you still need to purchase the Art Philosophy cartridge, you can do so HERE
