Cricut Cartridge Showcase: SOPHISTOCATED

Hello everyone! Heather, here and I have a cartridge Showcase for you today! The Cartridge I chose to highlight is Sophisticated. For those of you who aren't familiar, this cartridge was designed by Teresa Collins. She has a very distinctive style that really comes through on her cartridge. There are 2 fonts, (both of which are AWESOME for monogram projects) as well as images, borders  and phrases. Although I didn't include one in this showcase, I think the phrases would be awesome for vinyl lettering projects. For my first project I have an altered notebook. I am a list person and cannot live without a notebook to jot ideas and lists down in! This notebook is a traditional composition book and cost about $1.
The "Dream" title is one of the phrases on Sophisticated. The banner flags are cut with the border function. I love the flourishes at the top. The key is one of several key images, as well as crowns, chandeliers, and different flourishes. I added some liquid pearls to the key and banner cuts for some extra decoration. These images look great with a little bling.

Here are some additional projects I have made with this cart:
The title is cut from one of the fonts on the cartridge. I love the flourishes that are part of the letters, so pretty and elegant. Original post about this layout HERE.

The title is a phrase from the cartridge. There are some AWESOME phrases on this cart that work great as layout titles, card sentiments or altered projects/wall art. Original post HERE.

All the cuts on this layout are from Sophisticated. The title is another phrase. The chandelier and Fleur de Lis armchair are image cuts. There are several different chandeliers and chairs on the cart. Original post HERE.

On this layout the title is cut with both fonts from Sophisticated. Backing the letters with a different colored cardstock makes those flourishes really pop. The second '1' in the title is the other font. Every letter has a fancy frame surrounding it. You can see how pretty this would be in a monogrammed project. Original post HERE.
I hope you have enjoyed my showcase today! Sophisticated is an elegant cartridge with so many uses for all kinds of different projects. I hope I have inspired you to check it out.

WOW Heather....amazing job! Thank you for the terrific inspiration!
Heather is our resident layout queen! She does the most amazing one page layouts! Please be sure to visit her blog and give her some great bloggy love!

New Cutting Files & Digi’s @ PCW

Good afternoon crafty friends,
I just wanted to share a card I created with one of the new files available at PCW.
This card was created using the Bears Under Umbrella Digital Stamp. It goes perfectly with our Die Cut and or Stamp Challenge, HERE.

Here is  a close up. I used the “pre-colored” stamp. I then used my Copic markers: RV13, B32, E30 and YR02 to color in some shading, etc. I then used some Stickles for the raindrops and for the hearts.

This goes with the challenge as the song I had in my head was the one by Neil Sedaka...Laughter in the Rain. It makes me think of my wedding day to my hubby. It played during our dinner reception and I was married in April...so to me it is a spring song classic :)
Here is a version of it. Take a moment and enjoy such a wonderful classic tune :)

Cartridge Showcase: Sesame Street Seasons

Hey Everyone,

I hope that you have been having a crafty week so far! Today Jenny of Crazy About Cricut has 3 really cute projects to show you! She has really done a fabulous job showcaseing the Sesame Stree Season's cartridge! I hope that she inspires you as much as she has inspired me! So without further ado here is Jenny!

Hi Everybody! Today I'm excited to share my project for the Cooking With Cricut's Cartridge Showcase.  Twice a week a member of the Design Team features a Cricut cartridge of their choice and projects we've made with that cartridge. We hope you'll be inspired to pull out your cartridges and find new ways to use them!
Today I am showcasing the Sesame Street Season's cartridge.
I fell in love with this cart when I first saw it.  The variety of projects and figures on it was amazing!!  Here are a few projects I made with this cartridge:
*For my first project, I used the Cookie Monster puzzle cut to make this card.

*I thought this sentiment was so perfect for this cut!

*My second project is using the Prop feature on this cartridge.  All of the character cuts on this cart have a something as a "prop".  These are super easy to put together, and are only 2 - 3 layers.
*Isn't this CUTE doodlebug so cool??  He is ready to indulge in some sugary treats :)

*My last project is using one of the 8 3D objects you can make on this cartridge.
*In addition to these cute flowers (how cute would a bunch of these look hanging everywhere!), you can cut a sun, pumpkin, snowman, sign, backpack, frame, and card box holder!

I hope you enjoyed my projects and will give this cartridge a try!  TFL :) Until Next Time,

Didn't she do  great job! Pleasee feel free to leave her some bloggy love in the form of a comment!
