Cartridge Showcase: HELLO KITTY

Good morning Crafty Friends! Welcome to another wonderful Cartridge Showcase. Today's showcase is from the super talented Xochitl. She has some wonderful treats in store, so here she is to take it away....

Hello Bloggy Friends!!!  Today is my turn to showcase a cartridge for Cooking with Cricut and what did I choose?

***  Hello Kitty Greetings ***

Can we say cuteness overload. This cartridge is obviously full of the lovable Sanrio Kitty but it also has the cutest little accents and an outline feature is perfect for decor making. For my first project I used this feature to make a cute little onsie:

It cuts so nicely and pure simple cuteness!! I normally like to "color" the image with shirt paint, but in this case I wanted to keep it simple. Instead I just added some bling with my I-rock and voila from simple white to fabulous Kitty. I made a pair of these as part of a gift for my little niece. I did not used the HK cartridge for the second one but wanted to show you the pair of them so you can see how easy and fast is to create a personalized gift that new mommies just LOVE.

For my second project I used the card feature, I didn't even realize it was there until I started doing this project!! The card feature cuts some awesome shape cards, it takes card making to such a basic level that is great for kids projects, and you know how much girls love Hello Kitty. For my card I did the basic face card. The trick to the cards is to make sure to cut the card base, but also cut the shadow portion so that you don't end up with a part of the face cut off.

For my next project I made a cute little gift purse, perfect for a little gift for that special HK lover. The purse is made using TBBM but he accents including the little flowers were made using HKG. You can make the flower look 3D by cutting multiple flowers and layering, it looks really neat.

For my last project I made a layout using 2 of the kitty cuts along with a title cut.

Thank you for stopping by I hope I have inspired you to dust off the HK cartridge and start filling your craft room with kitty cuteness from this cartridge. Hugs, Xochitl.

What adorable projects you've inspired us with Xochitl. Thank you for the Kitty-licious inspiration! Please be sure to head over to her blog: HERE and see what other wonderful craftiness she is up to and give her some bloggy love!

Cartridge Showcase; Paper Doll Dress Up

Hey Everyone,
Today Nita is taking over the blog with lots of projects all created with the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge! So with out further a do here is Nita:

Hi all! It’s Nita here from Nita Notes, and today I’m going to share some projects I’ve made with Paper Doll Dress-Up. This was one of the very first cartridges I purchased, and it’s still a favorite.

One of the things I love about this cartridge is, of course, the paper dolls! J I’ve made very good use of the various characters you can create. One of my first projects was making banners for my children’s rooms:

And soon after I altered a notebook and created this Super Spy journal for my son (he writes down all his spy stuff in it. Hee hee! He’s so cute.). It’s actually the Prom Boy outfit; I just added some sunglasses:

I actually find I make a LOT of use of the Creative Feature keys included on this cartridge as well. There are just so many extras, from palm trees to sea shells to skeletons to canoes – you can pretty much find whatever you might need for any occasion. On this super hero card I made for my nephew, I used the Superboy Paper Doll, the cityscape backdrop found in his Accessories, AND the creepy tree from Frankenstein’s Accessories.

On this Hawaiian thank-you card I used the Island Girl Accessories and outfitted my CAC bear with the hula skirt, lei, and pineapple drink.

Fun, right? This cartridge is just so versatile – you can mix and match outfits, and with countless items in the Creative Feature keys, the creative possibilities are endless!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my brief showcase of Paper Doll Dress-Up today. Perhaps I’ve inspired you to pull it out and get creating! J
~Nita
Didn’t she do a fantastic job? I sure think so! If you do too, then you should go to her blog and leave her some love!
