What do Dads, Grads and Brides all have in common?  The month of June!  Welcome to Day 11 of the 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Showcase.  We're stepping away from the mistletoe and snow and focusing on the month traditionally filled with weddings, graduations and Father's Day.  Our Design Teams have been hard at work whipping up some awesomeness for your viewing pleasure!

Day 10: Santa Claus is 'Comin to Town!

Welcome to Day 10 of the 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Showcase!  It is finally time for the "big guy" to make his official appearance on a day all his own. 

Whether you believe in Santa or not, the jolly old elf  has an important lesson to teach.  Santa is bigger than any person, and his work has gone on longer than any of us have lived. What he does is simple, but it is powerful. He teaches children how to have belief in something they can’t see or touch.

It’s a big job, and it’s an important one. Throughout life, we each need this capacity to believe:  in ourselves, in our friends, in our talents and in our family. We also need to believe in things we can’t measure or even hold in our hand. I am talking about love, that great power that will light your life from the inside out, even during its darkest, coldest moments.

Santa is love, hope and happiness.  In fact, he reminds me a lot of Jesus.  And my hope is, that those children out there who don't have Christ in their lives, might experience His love through a beloved character like Santa Claus.  After all Santa Claus did receive his start  through a 4th century Greek Christian Bishop of Myra,  Saint Nicholas.  Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor and is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Sinterklaas.
