Challenge–19 Double Take

Good morning fellow crafters,

It’s another Wonderful Wednesday! It’s challenge day here at CWC! We have another super fun challenge for you. So let’s get right to it!

This week’s theme is:

DOUBLE TAKE!

You need to create a project with the following elements

• 2 pieces of cardstock (preferably two different colors)
• 2 pieces of patterned paper (preferably different patterns)
• 2 embellishments

This is just the minimum. If you want to use more colors, papers and embellies, you are more than welcome….but it needs to have at least the minimum above.
Once again, to qualify, you need to

• Submit a new project and it
• Needs to include a Cricut or other die cut machine of some type cut on it.
• You also need to make sure your post has a link back to CWC.

As always, you are more than welcome to Pile On the challenges!

Melin used the Lyrical Letters, Paper Lace and Paisley Cartridges as well as some great Graphic 45 paper to create this Domestic Goddess Layout.

Day 9–25 Days of Cricut(Crafting) Holiday Fun

Good morning all,

Today’s projects are in keeping with our new challenge. No Red and Green TOGETHER. You can use one or the other (or neither) but not both :-)

I am a bit behind on a few Christmas cards so today I switched gears and made some of those instead of a layout.

Here they are.

This card I made using the Paper Lace and Winter Woodlands cartridges.

The “paper lace” was cut at 5.25” and then misted with glimmer mist and inked around the edges with gold paint. The picture really doesn’t show all the shimmer.

Here is a close up of the flower. It is from Winter Woodlands. I used the same flower cut for the leaves. I just cut the petal in half and omitted one of the petals.

I used Champagne Stickles to create the “dots” on the center and for the veins of the leaves.

Here is “My Version” I created the “paper lace”, 

the flower and the Christmas Blessings Digital Stamp.

Here is a close up of the poinsettia flower.

Day 8–25 Days of Cricut (Crafting) Holiday Fun and NEW CHALLENGE

Welcome to Day 8 of our 25 Days of Cricut (Crafting) Holiday Fun AND our New Challenge.

This week’s challenge was NO RED AND GREEN in your holiday project…That means, you can use red OR green but not together :-) Also, if you want to lose red and green all together, you can do that to!

Here is Day 8 – 25 Days of Cricut (Crafting) Holiday Fun projects

This first one is created using the Paper Lace, Winter Woodland and My World Cartridges.

The “lace” background is from Paper Lace Cartridge, The Bells are From My World Cartridge and the holly leaves are from Winter Woodland.

Here is a close up shot of the bells and holly. I embossed the bells using my Cuttlebug and an embossing folder.

Here is a close up shot trying to show the shimmer on the lace. The picture doesn’t really show that I glimmer misted the lace with Iridescent Gold. Looks pretty in person.

Here is “My Version” I created the paper lace, bells and holly for this layout.
