School Layout Cricut

Hello Everyone,
I need to share the winner of the Christmas Layout Guessing game. But first I wanted to share a project I just completed. I used the wonderful printable stamps from the CUTTING CAFE'

Her PRINTABLE STAMPS are so easy and versitile! The Welcome Back, Apple, Apple Border, Notebook papers and Star Student are all from there!

Please take a moment to go and check out all the wonderful files they have!
Here is a close up of the Welcome Back Stamp. I layered it with the apple file. I colored it in with my Copics.
I created this apple border by layering the cute apple file. I colored them with my copics. I created a pocket out of the apple border strip. I printed out the little notebook papers and then hand wrote topics. They are a great size for tons of journaling as well as putting additional photos on the back.

Again, please take a moment to visit Regina's CUTTING CAFE' You won't be disappointed!

Now for the WINNER.

Here's The Layout. There were supposed to be two winners. One to guess the amount of cartridges used Two You had to guess the right cartridges used ALL of them. If they did, they would get the layout. No one got the second one right...BUT the first one had a WINNER!

These are the cartridges I used.
  1. Reindeer, lights and trees were From Create a Critter
  2. Antlers and parts of the suit were From Christmas Cheer
  3. Head from George and Basic Shapes
  4. Photo Corners From Picturesque
  5. Sleigh From Winter Woodland
  6. Title and Wreath From Celebrate with Flourishes
  7. Arms and Body From From My Kitchen
  8. Santa Beard and Hat From Everyday Paper Dolls
So that's a total of 8 different cartridges :-) WHEW that was a lot!
So now the winner.......

Sandy's Simple Crafts

Sandy guessed 8 cartridges. She didn't get all the right eight, but that's okay :-) For the first drawing it was just about guessing the number.
So Sandy, the clock is now ticking, please email me at melinda @ scrapbookeden.com so I can send you out some goodies.

Thank you everyone for your comments and for playing along!

Stay tuned as I am working on bringing you some more fun prizes and giveaways!

Mane Attraction Cricut Layout

Good morning everyone,

Here is my project for this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. Our challenge this week was Zoo themed. I used the lion from Everyday Paper Dolls and the "Mane" letters are from Sesame Street Font.

Here is a closeup of the lion. I modified him in my Gypsy with the Hide Contour feature. This way I was able to give him my facial features.
Closeup of the title block. I created the background title block Word Art and then cut the "Mane" letters from my Cricut. I popped up a couple of the letters with foam dots for extra dimension.

I used the following Cricut Cartridges:
  • Everyday Paper Dolls: The Lion
  • Sesame Street Font: Cut the "MANE" letters @ 1.75" all upper case.
I did modify the lion in my Gypsy. I am still really "green" with my Gypsy, so bear with me as I learn too! But I did the "hide contour" feature and then cut him out twice in two different colors of cardstock. Then I cut the "inner lion" part out of the one and layered him onto the "mane" part.

If you would like the Gypsy file click to download: HERE

Reminder: You must have the Gypsy and the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge in order to cut this file out on your Cricut.

If you would like the WordArt title block Digi Stamp I created, click HERE to download.
This is a pdf file that you will print and cut.

Ballerina Bears Layout

Good day everyone,
I wanted to share a layout I made awhile back that just hasn't seen the light of day yet. I used everyday paper dolls to cut out the costumes for these little cuties.
Closeup of the left page. I made the title. All the little roses are also handmade.
View of right page. I machine stitched the mats for added detail.
I glittered their tiaras and the top layers of their tutu's.
I chalked their legs to give the appearance that they are wearing tights.

Picnic Time Layout

Here is a layout I made for a few challenges. They are a TON of fun! They wanted us to mask something. So I used the negative of the clouds cut from Stand and Salute Cartridge and Inked the Clouds onto the blue paper. With all the mats and things on the page, you can hardly see the clouds, but they are there :-) Hope you enjoy!

Merry Christmas Cricut Santa Layout

Merry Christmas Layout

Here is a layout I made using what I call “straight” Cricut. This simply means no design studio or gypsy. Just the Cricut Expression and some Cartridges.

So here’s a view of the entire layout.
I used the following cartridges to complete this super fun layout.
George and Basic Shapes
Paper Doll Dress Up
Everyday Paper Dolls
From My Kitchen
Christmas Cheer
Picturesque
Celebrate with Flourishes
Create A Critter
Winter Woodland

Okay here’s the recipe

  • I used Winter Woodland for the sleigh and cut it at 4”
    • I cut the sleigh bottom in white and then “inked” the “ski” part in gold ink. The picture doesn’t show how shiny that part is.
  • The presents were just patterned paper that I cut into squares.
  • The ribbons-bows were from Create A Critter pg. 73 – layer 3 cut at 3.5”
    • The little circles that cut from this cut I used for the reindeer noses.
  • The light borders for the mats were from Create A Critter pg. 73
  • The Sack was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up pg. 72 Accessory 3
  • The Christmas trees in the background were cut from Create A Critter pg. 33
  • The wreath was from Celebrate Flourishes second row, 7th key.
  • Santa’s Suit parts were cut from Christmas Cheer pg. 99 cut at 6”
  • Santa’s Hat was from Paper Doll Dress Up pg. 72 cut at 7”
  • Santa’s Beard and hair were from Paper Doll Dress Up pg. 72 cut at 7”
  • Santa’s Head was from George and Basic Shapes Circle cut at 2.75”
  • Santa’s nose was from George and Basic Shapes.
  • Santa’s Arms were cut From From My Kitchen pg. 77
Santa’s Body was from George and Basic Shapes. Circle at 3.75”
  • Santa’s eyes were from a punch, but you could cut some small circles out of George and Basic Shapes like the nose.
  • The reindeer were cut from Create A Critter pg. 69 at 3.5” – both layers
    • I used the black out feature so I could use my own eyes. These eyes were a Martha Stewart “tear drop” punch. Pretty small in size.
  • The Antlers were from Christmas Cheer pg. 86 cut at 3.5”-shadow
  • The nose was from the circles cut from the present bows (see above)
  • The “rope” was some gold floss that I had.
  • The Merry Christmas title was cut from Celebrate with Flourishes.
  • The various photo corners were from Picturesque.

Here is one last look at the entire layout. Now it is just waiting for some pictures and a little journaling and we will be good to go.
