Will the REAL Rudolph Please Stand Up?

My version of the Infamous Rudolph Die
This is a 4x4 die from QuicKutz. Many crafters that I had come in to contact with thought he wasn't the "Cutest" guy on the block even though he had a red nose. So I decided to see what I could do to change their minds! So this is my take on him. Left to right: Original die photo, My version with a smaller nose.
Actually, it is one of the eye pieces, just inked in red. Last one is with the original nose. Plus on mine and the last one, I flipped the antlers to point out. I just thought it looked better. Oh and I also flipped the "Snout part" so he would have a "chin"
I think the REAL Rudolph is the one in the middle :-)

  1. WOW...

I'm not sure how I got to your blog - I was just following various link after link, but I'm really glad I did because your projects are beautiful. You've added so much more detail to the otherwise plain diecuts, that you've made them come alive. Just the little touches like the white pen under the eyes and the other odd highlights here and there - also the inking makes so much difference.

RE the Rudolph die - I completely agree that the middle one looks the best. It's amazing how different you made it look from the original cut.

This page is just jam packed with inspiration. I can't believe all the dies you must own to bring all of this together. All that storage, not to mention expense. However - you've proved that by adding a little 'you' into the projects - that it's all worth it.

Thank you for sharing your projects.

  2. Paula, Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot to me. I have been paper crafting for many years and my die collection is an accumulation over that time. Also, when I was a Quickutz Ambassador, I was very blessed to have received over $1,000 worth of their products. I can remember the years when you had to go to Michaels's just to buy one letter in the alphabet...lol. My it has all come a long way :-) I am so glad you found me and some inspiration too :-) Happy crafting!
