Have A Sweet Holiday Fifties Style Card

Happy Sunday crafty friends!
I hope you are enjoying the final day of your holiday weekend if you are state side and celebrate Thanksgiving! Today I am sharing a quick, easy and fun holiday card. It features dies from the brand new Classic Fifties Die Cut Bundle release from CottageCutz.com! It is their fabulous Black Friday release and it is amazing!  Here is what I created.

My card is a top folding standard 4.25 x 5.5 size. It is a white cardstock base. I added a black mat and some fun retro diamond type pattern paper from Doodlebug for an additional mat.

Here's a closer look at the adorable milk shake and root beer floats. I also used the cute shake and bottle from the fifties soda bar. Also the black check strip is from the soda bar as well. I colored them and layered them onto the double stitched rectangle mat with a pink cardstock mat. I then layered all of that onto a black matted scallop stitched rectangle from the basics set.

For the other half of the card it used the Cinema Drive In Sign. For the top part, I used the letters a and e. For the V I cut off one of the legs of the N. And for the H, I used two of the I letters and the remainder of the N.  I then hand wrote the Sweet and Holiday on the sign. Easy Peasy!

One last look at my finished project. For the final touch I added some of the Star-Sparkle dies to the card. I colored them in Aqua, pink and lime green. I also added some sparkle to them with my Spectrum Noir pen. It unfortunately doesn't show on the photo but there is some soft sparkle on them. All in all, it came out pretty fun and I really enjoyed using this theme for a non-traditional looking holiday card.

Here's a look at the entire collection.
