Today I am sharing a card for the first RGStudio360.com Community Challenge! The design team for RGStudio360.com will be hosting a weekly challenge over on the Facebook Community Group. Here is this week’s challenge. A mood board challenge.
I am super excited to share my card.
I created this fun mixed media type card. I used some of the colors from the mood board and along with the mood board you can add any “neutral colors” to your project like white, black, kraft, cream and or gray. So I went with black.
Here’s a closer look at the main image from the RGSTUDIO360.com Joy Ride class and download. Even though the class is over, you can still purchase the download and get the recorded version of the class. I cut the image out in three different pieces so I could layer them.
Here’s a look at the finished flower. I added some foam tape between the layers to give them a little extra lift.
Here’s a closer look at the bottom of the hot air balloon and the sentiment. This also gives you a closer look at my mixed media background. For those of you who follow along with me on my crafty journey, you know this is a departure from my normal style. I really wanted to try something different and I kind of think the whole point to a challenge is to stretch yourself and try different creative opportunities. So there is chalk, glitter, stickles, Nuvo drops along with some white pearl paint on there. I wish the pictures captured all the sparkle.
Here is one last look at my finished card. I hope you will head over to the community Facebook group and join in with us. Every month one entry will be picked to win a free download from the studio! It doesn’t cost anything to join. Along with the theme the only other real guideline is that your project must include an RGStudio360.com image and if you head over there….there are several FREE downloads! So there are no excuses. Just come on over and join in!
Please feel free to pin this for your inspiration!
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your crafty time with me. Be sure to head over to the Facebook group and join in on the fun! Until the next time, have a wonderfully crafty day!
