I hope your week is going wonderful and you were able to enjoy a little “love” yesterday! Today I am sharing a card I created for my beloved for Valentine’s Day. Here’s what I designed.
I started with a standard A2 sized card base. I used some black cardstock. I then cut a mat of white cardstock and then a mat using some patterned paper from the Black Currant DCWV Stack. I set those aside.
Next I went to work designing my pretty heart. I cut out the layers in white cardstock for the scallop and the decorative top. Pink for the outer layer and then black for the inner layer. I added some pretty diamond drops around the border of the flourished die cut and then added a mix of pink, lt pink dewdrops as well as some pretty black diamond drops.
I then colored in the black layer with my spectrum noir sparkle pen to give it that shimmer.
I then used a stamp from the MayMayMadeIt Stamp Set: All In Love. I used my black Aladine Pigment Ink to stamp the sentiment. I love the clean crisp image it gave.
Here’s a closer look at how I used some of the pretty black diamond drops as decorative accents on the top and bottom of my stamped sentiment.
I finished off the card by adding a strip of organza ribbon and a pretty little double bow. I added another pink dew drop to the center of the card for just a little extra touch.
Please feel free to pin this image for some inspiration! Here is one last look at the card. I think it turned out very nice. I think my hubby will appreciate it even though it is a tad “girly”…lol!
