FSJ Birthday Melody Pennant Easel Card

Hello crafty friends,
I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am sharing this super pretty card I created with some Fun Stampers Journey Products!

Here’s a look at my completed card. It is in the shape of a banner and I made it into an Easel Card.

SUPPLIES FOR BANNER EASEL Card

I started by cutting out the base with my largest banner die from the Oatmeal Cardstock Then I cut the same size out in my Whip Cream Cardstock. I trimmed off a quarter of an inch from each side. This way the white mat would be the same size in height.

I then used my cloud die and the cool pool ink and very lightly dabbed some ink around the edge of the cloud die. This gives the background that very soft sky look. Here is a picture of the background. Not very good as I didn’t think to take a photo of the background until afterward Sad smile

Next I used the Birthday Melody Stamp Set set and my Black Licorice Ink Pad. I stamped out several of the tree branches. I used the second generation stamping technique as I didn’t want the branches to be too dark. I then softly colored and shaded them with Colored Pencils I cut the branches into several shapes and pieces so that I could have a nice spray move across the front of the card.

I then stamped several of the flowers with my Watermelon Fusion Ink Pad. I lightly colored them in with my Colored Pencils and then fussy cut several of them out and scattered them along the branches.

Next, I went to work on my little birdy. I stamped him with some Black Licorice Ink and then I colored him in with some Watercolor Pencils. I fussy cut him out and then fussy cut his wing and his tail a second time. I wanted to layer them to give him a little more dimension. In this photo you can also see that I used my Journey Craft Glue and dotted the middle of my flowers with some FSJ Sparkle Dust.

Next I created this fun “banner” by die cutting a Banner Parade Die shape out. I “rolled” it onto a tooth pick and then used my Journey Twine Natural to add a couple of bows on each end. I also “shaped” it by gently curving it to give it a little dimension. I used my Black Licorice Ink  to stamp the sentiment and the sweet little line of musical notes.

I then added a set of banners from the banner die set to the top corner. I then used a Confectionery Blooms Embellishment to top of the Journey Twine Natural Bow.

For the bottom of the card, I layered two banner shapes on top of each other. One in Whip Cream Cardstock and on in Oatmeal Cardstock. I trimmed off the sides of the oatmeal one. I then adhered some of the pretty little stamped flowers onto each one. I used some Foam Squares to give it all some lift so that it would help the top of the card sit erect.  I then cut one last panel in Whip Cream Cardstock and used it as the mat for the inside so I can write a message to the recipient on it.

Here is one last look at the card. It is a little work of art and I am hoping the recipient will be well pleased!
