Now for those that didn’t win….I am so sorry, wish I could give everyone a little something…..OH WAIT!!!! I CAN!!! How about at least a free little cutting file! Scroll down to the bottom to get your freebie! Here is the card I created from this little file set
The card size is 4.25 x 5.5 a standard A2. I used some Kraft Cardstock for the base. I then used some white cardstock for the other layers and my stamps and inks to create the backgrounds.
Here’s a closer look at the stamped hearts. I used some foam tape between the hearts and scalloped heart to give them a little extra dimension. The middle layer heart was cut out of white cardstock and then I inked the edges with my Hollyhock ink pad to give the layers a little contrast. One heart was stamped with With Cashmere ink pad and the other was stamped with my Cocoa Ink Pad. I also used some black shimmer trim as well as some gold shimmer trim for the top embellishments.
Here’s a closer look at the stamped sentiment. It came from the The Best Things Stamp Set and I used my Cocoa Ink Pad. The little gems are from the Brown and Tan Gem assortment set.
Here’s a shot of my background mat. I used one of the stamps from the geometric backgrounds stamp set and my Pixie Ink Pad. I cut it an eighth of an inch smaller than the base size.
Next I cut another piece of white cardstock at 4.125 x 3.5 and used my Saddle Ink Pad and the Amour Stamp Set to stamp the background.
I wanted to soften the contrast of the darker ink with the white cardstock so I used a piece of my round sponge and dabbed some Champagne ink pad on to the piece.
I finished off the look by adding some of the black and white twill ribbon. Came together very easily
