Hey hey crafty friends,
It’s Thursday, so that means it’s time for another Throwback Thursday crafty project. Today I am sharing a quick card I created using some retired Close To My Heart stamps. Let’s get started.
Here’s a look at my completed card. Sorry the coloring is a bit off as I had to take this picture with no sunlight. The finished size is 4.25 x 5.5. I started with a white cardstock base. I then trimmed a black cardstock mat and then another white cardstock mat. I used my distressed backgrounds stamp set and my slate ink pad to stamp the chicken wire background. I then added a strip of sweet leaf (green) cardstock and a strip of the black striped twill ribbon. I then cut out an additional black cardstock and white cardstock mat.
Here’s a closer look at the flowers. I stamped them with my black ink pad and then went to work coloring them in with my Touch Twin markers. I used both reds, my golden yellow marker and my cherry pink marker to color the images in. Once completed, I cut them out and then used some foam tape in certain places to give them some dimension. I also added some Champagne Stickles to the centers of my flowers to give them some more interest. Lastly I scattered some gold sequins around to give it just a little more visual interest and done! Very simple and clean.
Just a different angle.
