So now for my DAY 2 Card.
a note for you v1-480
For this card, I created the background squares by stamping the in the background flair stamp with Whisper ink.

stamping background-480
Here’s a pic showing how I stamped the background image three times. Far from perfect, but that is okay as I planned to cut this up into squares.

squares-480
I cut them into 1.75” squares. I matted them onto a piece of white cardstock that was 3.75” square.

circle punch-480
For the flower, I started by cutting out a circle with my circle punch. If you have a 1” circle punch, that will work too. Your finished flower will just be a bit bigger.

CTMH-b1398 just for you-450
I created SVG cuts to correspond with this stamp set. I created them in three graduated sizes. I will be doing this for the majority of the stamp sets as I get them myself. I will be offering these files free to anyone that signs up as a consultant under me Smile

pazzle cuts-480
I then used the Just for you stamp set and cut out several petals, bases and leaves from the svg cut file I made from my Pazzles Inspiration.

flower base-480
I used one of the bases and stamped the base outline and then the petals onto this piece.

flower step2-480
I then stamped the petals with Cotton Candy Ink. I placed five petals onto the circle base. As you can see, my stamping is far from perfect, but that is okay. The petals are layered and so I just used the better ones for the top layer.

flower step2-480b
I repeated the previous step by staggering and layering another layer of petals on top of the previous layer. I then gently curled the petals.

leaves-480
Next I stamped a couple of leaves from the SVG cut file I made and stamped them with Sweet Leaf Ink.

floral stip-480
Next I took a strip of paper 4 1/8” x 1” and stamped it with the floral-flourish background stamp in Whisper Ink.

card base-480
Next I began to build the final card. I attached the squares and floral strip to the yellow base.

wrapping twine-480
Next, I wrapped some twine around the bottom and cinched it in the middle with a piece of twine. TIP: I do this before I attach this to the base of the card so that all of the “mechanics” are hidden and when the recipient opens the card they don’t have twine or ribbon running through the opened card…unless you want to do that as part of your inside design. I then created a bow and then added it on top of that with a glue dot. I finished off the bow with a  pink gem. I then stamped the sentiment in Gypsy Ink onto one of the little SVG sentiment strips  and added that to the card.

finished flower-480
Once I did all the above, I added the top layer to the base and then added the leaves.  You can do whatever you want for the centers. I used a discontinued element from the Chantilly Elements set.
