You Are My Sunshine Cricut Paper Piecing Layout

Good morning crafty friends,
I hope you are all doing well. It has been hot and rainy in our neck of the woods this week. As most of you know, I have changed the format of my blog and now have a handful of designers who will be sharing projects with you through out the week. One of the opportunities this change will bring, is the chance for us to share projects that include techniques and or out of the box ideas.

A few weeks ago we showcased the Country Life cartridge. One of the projects that I started working on but never completed is today’s project. So here it is.

I used my Chestnut Roan for inking the bear and them my Chalks for his face and watering can.

One last look at the layout.

All of these cuts are from the Country Life cartridge. I love to challenge myself and create paper piecings from the cricut. You can visit my Cricut paper piecings page HERE.

I do plan to make a little pattern book detailing the “HOW-TO” and patterns for making these.  Again, for this layout all you need is the Country Life Cartridge and the Cricut Expression to recreate this. Of course you will need your consumables too…(Paper, Ribbon, Embellishments, etc.).

I used the following products to create this project
Cricut Country Life Cartridge
Cricut Expression

Red and Blue Patterned Papers

Yellow Background Paper

Pebbles Inc. Basic Brights

Cat's Eyes Inks In The Following Colors
Blue Iris, Amber Clay, Yellow Ochre
Warm Green, Tangerine and Chestnut Roan
American Crafts Black Fine Tip Pen
VersaMarker Pen
White Gel Pen
Green, Tan, Cream, Yellow and White Cardstock
Misc. Ribbons

Thank you so much for sharing your crafty time with me!

  7. This is just adorable! I always sing "You are my sunshine" to my 4 grandbabies ---- so this layout, with its 4 picture spaces, would be perfect to use for the 4 of them! :)

  9. Your layout is absolutely stunning. I was hoping you could do a step by step tutorial on your blog to give your followers an idea of how you create the cute bears. Even a picture tutorial would be great! Hope you will consider it! Thanks.
