Cartridge Showcase: Suburbia

Hello, and welcome to our Fresh Market Mondazes cartridge Showcase.  Today we are showcasing one of our fabulous designers and a brand new cartridge.  We bring you Candice from Stamping Pearls With Candice.  If you've not visited her blog, you must take a look.  Candice has a beautiful blog, and it is full of amazing projects she has made.    Candice is showcasing one of the newer cartridges, Suburbia.  So, lets take a look.

Hi! my name is Candice and today I am showcasing the new Suburbia Cricut Cartridge.  I got this cartridge about a month ago and I just love it!  It reminds of the Mad Men series.  I love the retro feel of the cartridge.

For my first project, I created a shaped card.  I took 2 images of the casserole dish and welded  them together to create a card.  Also, I used the Cricut Craft Room to weld and cut of the card.  The card is cut out at 5 inches.  I added some bling from Queen & Co.  on the front of the dish.  When I originally was putting this card together, I meant to use the sentiment What's Cooking from Cardz TV Stamps, but I picked up the wrong sentiment.  However, it works because it can be an "I'm sorry" card.

For my next project, I created a scrapbook layout.  The one thing I always say is that I am not domestic.  So, I created this layout of my daughter's room where I had a pile of laundry that I needed to put away.  On the cartridge I used the <Helen> image and icon and the phrase "domestic" on my layout.  The images were cut out at 5 inches, while the phrase was cut out at 1.5 inches.  I kept the layout simple and I used a sketch that I had from an e-book called 500 Scrapbook Sketches.

For my last project, I created a card.  I love how this card turned out.  First, I cut the sofa from the French Manor cartridge at 2.5 inches.  Then, from Suburbia, I cut out <Nancy> and <James> both at 2.5 inches.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design .

Now, isn't this a great cartridge?  And didn't Candice bring us some great projects.  Please drop by Candice's blog, Stamping Pearls With Candice, and leave her some great comments.  We hope you will come back and join us each Monday for a new showcase.
