Cartridge Showcase: New Arrival

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all having a wonderful week and enjoying the nice summer weather! We got over hupday and the weekend is just around the corner! Jill From Jaihart is going to share some awesome projects all using the New Arrival cartridge!  So without further ado...... here is Jill!

Hello, everyone! I'm Jill from Jaihart and today I have the honor of showcasing the super cute Cricut cartridge New Arrival. It is perfect for baby gifts or for decorating for a baby shower which is what I used the cartridge for!

I made 2 banners for a baby girl shower I had recently:

I also made a onesie for my friend when she had her baby. This was the first onesie I ever made and the first time I cut with fabric using my cricut! At the time I did not know that the heat n bond permanent did not actually mean permanent. If I was to make this onesie again, I would stitch around the edges.

The cartridge also has tags, which are super helpful and I've used them many times! I hope you enjoyed the showcase and I hope you stop by and visit me at Jaihart!

Have a super fun day!

Wow, Jill! What amazing projects! I think I may need to make a banner! Your's turned out so good! You really have an awesome creative style! You are a wonderful addition to this team and we are so lucky to have you!

Be sure to come back tomorrow as Chef Madison announces the winners from our last challenge.

Don't forget about our two current challenges: Our Die Cut and or Stamp Challenge and our Cricut Challenge! Just click the links at the top to join the fun!

Thank you for making us a part of your crafty time! We appreciate you all so much!

Melin & Jen Are Monkeying Around!

It's just another Monkey Monday . . . no Cartridge Showcase today . . . just Melin and Jen monkeying around!  We decided to collaborate and bring you some fun projects with a "monkey" twist.  One of Jen's nephews just turned one and his mommy always calls him her" little monkey."  So a monkey party was an obvious choice!

Did you know that there are monkeys on 17 different Cricut cartridges?  So many to choose from . . .
  • Animal Kingdom, pg. 45 and 49
  • Birthday Bash, pg. 36
  • Birthday Cakes, pg. 45
  • Create-A-Critter, pg. 46
  • Creative Memories - Storks Delivery, pg. 64
  • Disney's Dreams Come True, pg. 66
  • Everyday Paper Dolls, pg. 75
  • Imagine - Buccaneer, pg. 10
  • Life's A Party, pg. 36, 46 and 56
  • Lite - B is for Boy
  • Lite - Carousel
  • Lite - Sugar & Spice
  • Nate's ABCs, pg. 57
  • New Arrival, pg. 56
  • Paisley, pg. 30, 31 and 32
  • Sweethearts, pg. 43
  • ZooBalloo, pg. 37
Jen used monkeys from Create-A-Critter, New Arrival and ZooBalloo for her banner, party decorations and cake.

The pennant and pennant mat were cut using the Girl's Make-Up Party cartridge
the text is from Cake Basics, the monkey on the left is from ZooBalloo
and the monkey on the right is from New Arrival.

These little monkeys and vines are from the Create-A-Critter cartridge.

Jen used her Cricut Cake to cut the fondant decorations for the cake.
The monkey on the left and the  palm tree are from Create-A-Critter.
The monkey on the right, grass, vines and party hats are from ZooBalloo.
The text was cut using the Mickey Font cartridge.

Isn't this little monkey "smash" cake the cutest thing ever!!!
The text was cut using the Mickey Font cartridge
and the stars are from Plantin SchoolBook.

For more details on sizes and the papers Jen used visit her blog.

Melin created this layout using the sweet little monkeys from the Sweethearts cartridge. She used the "flip" feature on her Expression to create the mirror images.

Here is a close up of the cute little title.

Melin created this adorable birthday card using the Birthday Bash Cartridge. She also used her Gypsy to "weld" the face pieces together.  The smaller the "Cricut" faces, the less appealing they are to Melin, so she will use her Gypsy to "hide contours" and add her own eyes and nose. Just find an oval or circle on the same cartridge you are using and re-size it make your eyes and nose fit your face....easy peasy!

Last but not least, Melin created this card using the Paisley Cartridge. She also used her Gypsy to "Hide Contours" for all the monkey's body pieces and face. She used a couple of EK Scallop punches and a circle punch to add the sentiment.

Thank you so much for taking some of you crafty time to join us today! Be sure to do a little "Monkeying Around" yourself and create, create, create!  Join us tomorrow as we have another great post with more inspiration from our PCW girls!!!

Day #5 Everyday in May–CCR Fiesta Challenge

Good morning Crafty friends!

Hope you’re having a wonderful day! Happy Cinco De Mayo for those who celebrate!

Today our Design Team Member Nicole of Croppin Momma Designs is sharing a sweet card she made celebrating the expectancy of a baby!

Here is Nicole’s Cricutlicious creation!
nicole pregnancy card
Nicole created this card using the following cartridges:
New Arrival for Momma and Carriage
Create A Critter for Clouds
Doodlecharms for Sun
Please be sure to head over to Nicole’s Blog for more details on this simply sweet card!

Now for today’s Freebie #5. And My Creative Cutter Room Fiesta Challenge Project!
In honor of Cinco De Mayo, I came up with this cute digi stamp set that I hope you will enjoy!  Here is a picture of a card I made using some of the elements on the set.
fiesta time card-500
I cut the elements out and colored them in with my Copic Markers. I edged the patterned paper as well as the cardstock and the Donkey elements with my Dark Brown Cat’s Eye Chalk Inks. I used the banner with the thick outline. The outline makes cutting it out by hand easier as you don’t have to be as precise :-)
I created the Fiesta Time Digital Stamp in 1.25” and 1” circles so if you have a 1.25” or 1.5” circle punch you can easily cut them out.

Also, here is a picture of the set. It is a pdf file that ANYONE can use.

Remember it will be FREE until tomorrow,
May 6th @ 10am est. time (Detroit USA).

Be sure to head over to the Creative Cutter Room to join in the Fiesta Challenge AND be sure to check out what the rest of the wonderful CCR Design Team came up with! You will have until May 18th to enter your challenge submission. Here is what you can win!!!!

Good morning All,

Please join the fun this week at FCCB as Page-Kits.com is the sponsor and you could win a $20 gift certificate!
